  1. I emailed Pavel about that “Mini Basstard” and it sounds very interesting - 43 cm wide if that makes a difference for you. Didn’t get a price I’m afraid, but his 15W version is €1.6k. 7-8 month build time and customisable boxes/knobs etc
  2. He played with Terence Trent D’Arby in the late 80s
  3. Yep as @Clarky said I found this quite recently and fell in love. Around €3.5k but I think based on that review and the fact it’s incredibly limited quantity, hand-built, custom-shop production it’s worth every Penny. Especially now Ashdown are selling a 30W valve amp for £1400! Isn’t arms of other small footprint valve amps Hot Amp in Czech Republic are another manufacturer, and Rheingold in Germany. Plus there’s the Handbox WB100 which isn’t exactly massive. I really would love one of these PureTone amps but unless I win the lottery I can’t justify the expense sadly
  4. Anyone can come along! It’s just located in the South East
  5. And I’m looking forward to trying your Handbox R400 (hint hint) 😎
  6. Think that will be Alusonic too

    ACG build

    That is lovely 😊
  8. Oh dear. They’re not having the best of times at the moment are they? Only a couple of weeks ago they were caught using backing tracks for their vocals (after Gene Simmons has gone on record skating bands who do that…)
  9. I was at that Sheffield gig - Gary’s rig cut out at one point and he nodded to Cass who then almost destroyed the entire building with some ridiculously huge bass sounds. He’s my favourite player - effortlessly cool, clearly a lovely guy and an impeccable live groove. Love Skunk Anansie live, still the best band I’ve seen I think. Bet the Engine Rooms was a special place to see them
  10. Hey Nik, If your amps can run to 2 ohms and you like the sound of a single 1156, get another one. You can then take one or two cabs to the gig as necessary and not have any concerns about cab mismatching etc. Keep it simple

  12. Just sold Mark a mini wah pedal, and it was an absolute pleasure to do business. Top chap

  14. Agree with your comments about Andersen Paak and the Chillis, though where we were the sound for AP was a little mushy. Clearly a tight AF band having the time of their lives though Missed Thundercat sadly.
  15. Yeah I think the sound sucked for at least the first four songs or so, then suddenly Flea’s bass appeared with clarity and balls and it was a different kettle of fish. Have to say, for me personally, I gave up after Californication so a chunk of the set was lost on me. But I enjoyed the couple they played from BSSM at least Anthony Kiedis’ voice seemed on fine form, which was refreshing given all the stories over the years.
  16. Massive thanks to @Old Man Riva for going well above and beyond, not only did Mick sort me a parking permit, he gave me alternative options in case the road was full and made sure the tube was running for us. Top man, thanks 🙏🏻 MiniMert loved the gig (and to be fair so did I) 😀
  17. I concur
  18. That’s not a graphite neck I don’t think?
  19. Well you’re a legend, thank you. Will Pm a bit later when I’ve got home 👍🏻
  20. Nope, they lull you in and then when you get to pay it says “sorry this space isn’t available for the times you selected”
  21. Hi all, Long story short, going to see RHCP tomorrow with miniMert plus his mum (my ex) plus her elder daughter. My ex bought the tickets and I had naively assumed she had sorted car parking…. She hasn’t. Really should have learnt but we’ve been separated 10 years and I forgot that she doesn’t think ahead. (And nor it seems so I!) Train strikes mean public transport is out of the question, and I can’t find any fecking spaces in any of the nearby car parks. Anyone relatively local with any tips or hints as to somewhere I can pop my car without it being clamped/towed/put on bricks? Ive tried the various apps for people who rent out their spaces to no avail 😩
  22. These look amazing, very cool design. And an epic advert @Happy Jack 😎
  23. The older ABM power sections were tested to 2 ohms and would survive if you aren’t going hell for leather - as @chyc says that’s where things get messy. Mark Gooday once told me my ABM should have no problem with a 2.67ohm load and would shut down into protection mode if it did. Remember of course that the nominal impedance of cabs tends to be at a specific frequency and actually all other frequencies are higher than this...
  24. Emma Okto Nøjs gone, everything else still here 👍🏻
