1. may also pay to do some research on the type of fret wire used in construction. I was told by a luthier of some repute that some strats had tangs that were spread out. Pulling them out upwards results in the production of huge trenches in the fretboard, rather than tidy slots. Apparently the way to remove those frets is by pulling from the side rather than from above. Havn't heard this from anywhere else mind you. But it does make me think twice and check the edge of the board before reaching for the pliers. Just my 2p's worth T
 2.
We've been booked to do a couple of decent size festivals this summer. I received an email this morning from the organiser of one suggesting that we have to pay for our own tickets! OK, I've done freebies in the past, but paying to gig? Anyway, the other guys are somewhat taken aback, but before we go back to them and say 'no way', I thought I'd better check here? Chris
Invoice them in advance for twice the amount of the admission fee as your performance fee. That should bring the realities of the situation a little more into focus. Damn cheek !!!! T

 6. Hi Chop have a look at guitarnuts.com. They give a lot of detail about strat wiring and (if I remember correctly) also go into the log and linear topics as well. Also, maybe contact Nordstrands ? hope that helps T

 12. You would be very welcome indeed !!! I for one wouldn't mind a tour of that topic at all. Can't speak for anyone else, but I'd like to hear this. I'm sure more suggestions and ideas from anyone else that would like bring something to the day would be welcome. A big THANK YOU LENNY T

 14.
Rubbish playing style, I can clearly see his left thumb isn't in line with the centre of the neck! Must do better! Had the Starlicks video he had out in the 80s and played it til it died. Much prefer him too MK or the other slappers. BB If anyone has a dvd copy of said video would be v interested
+1 if anyone has a dvd copy. I lent mine out and never got it back T
 15. Molan's on the case and in the act of finalising the details with that school. Unless anyone objects, I'd like to give Molan a little extra time to sort out the details. Once that's done, we'll vote. T
 16. I'd like to shake your hand for posting that Looking at you reminds me that there are photos of me lying around somewhere, just like that, same age group too. We could have swapped bands and still fit in. I still have my bass from that era as well. Same shape, but with VOX on the tailplate. Short scale and very quick. Thank you for the trip down amnesia lane T
 17. looking increasing likely it's going to go to Deptford folks. any luck molan ? T
 18. What a lovely pair ! (I seem to remember that having a different meaning when I was younger) T
 19. Wish I had the cash, as I'd have that in a minute. That and about a dozen other basses around here too. have a bump for a bargain T

 21.
I'm likely to be selling my Yamaha BEX, hollowbody (also has piezo for 'that' sound) so keep your eyes on the for sale section. Not quite a £1k bass but tbh for a couple hundred it'd give a few expensive basses a run for their money!
There's something quite appealing about that in a vintage way. very nice. T
 22.
Shall I just ask for availability for any Sunday in June?
Sounds like a good place to start. In an ideal world we won't be snookered by availability. Then again, in that ideal world we would be using the wembley stage the London bass bash. Perhaps that's one we could plan for the 2012 London bash, seeing as how the world is coming to lunch at our place that year. T
