It's now time for the final call for nominees for the London Bass bash venue, a little later than originally planned I admit. In the absence of anyone raising strenuous objections, I'll close nominations for the venue on Saturday 24th April. At this stage, can anyone that nominates a venue please confirm that the venue is available and give some ideas around the likely the expected circumstances of the day,which will help with the estimation of finance and support. On the weekend of 24th April, I'll post a voting board for the duration of one week, the standard format so far. [u][/u]Raffle[u][/u] Is there general support for a raffle ? If so, can people give some indication of bringing something. Doesn't even have to be too specific if you don't want it to be. A very short scale Vox bass, from the 60's I guess. Got my hands on it in 1970/1. WEM 40watt head and WEM single 18" speaker in a huge cab. The WEM head went back to the shop it came from in 1975 / 6, buzzing like hell. THe cab went on to a friend's band around the same time. Still have that VOX bass. Quick little neck on it too. I learned Jack Bruce's lines to Cream's Crossroads on it. T

Is it possible to run a line out from the Trace and then the Laney into the Peavey cab for comparisons ? T

My word Gareth, you do sell some gear ! I met Gareth in ol' London town to take a 3u rack case off his hands. He was even good enough to meet me in his lunch hour and spent a little while chatting too. Top man. I'd buy something from Gareth again.
