1.
Top post for me.
Which just demonstrates the search engine is also inconsistent as well. It may have only been the top post for you Russ as I'd only just put it to the top of the pile from being two days old
2. I searched this evening for my sale of an Aguilar AG500. Other ads came up, all older than mine, yet mine did not appear at all, despite several attempts using this and that case, all different kinds of arrangements What's this about ?
3. Hi all Price £395.00 Up for sale, my Aguilar AG500. It was my regular gigging amp for a while and has never missed a beat. It's stayed in the Protec case all along and as a result, the amp itself is pretty much unmarked. I think there are two tiny scuff marks on the face where it's been wiped in the past, but they're so small you can only see them in a certain light at the correct angle and they won't photograph. The case itself is showing signs of age with the lettering of the Aguilar name just starting to wear a little, but not a great deal at all. I'm only saying this as I would like to be as open and honest about the sale as I can. It comes with the foot switch as well I'd trade for a walkabout scout with some cash adjustment I got this at a nice price through BC, so I'm going to pass the good karma on by keeping the price fairly low at £395.00 Thanks all
4. Enjoyed a cuppa with Colin while collecting a monitor yesterday. Always good to meet BC'ers Communication couldn't have been better and really easy all the way through, thanks Colin. Nice Precision by the way
5. All of 10cc have my respect, fantastic memorable music Rubber Bullets was the very first song I played on stage with a bass guitar, a few months after the song came out
6. Maybe just store things in bags to prevent dusk going in through vents
7. I always thought 'Ken Dodd's Dad's dog's dead' was a bit in poor taste myself..
8. I tried this bass yesterday. It was well balanced, with no neck dive. There's no fret wear and the strings ring nicely. Not too wide a neck either for a 6 string I'm desperately trying to convince myself I don't need this bass, but it's soooo tempting at the price.....
9. Collected an 8 string bass from Ray yesterday and spent some time catching up after last year (when I collected some cases from him, both at a very nice price). Ray was even kind enough to throw in an unused gig bag with the 8 string, which is a great instrument in it's own right. Genuine BC'er here folks, buy with confidence from Ray. All I have to do now is find a reason not to buy the 6 string he's selling at far too low a price for the quality of the instrument.....
10.
Used to play The Bed's too big without You which has to be one of my favourite basslines of all time. Unfortunately it got dropped because the 'play something we know' crowds didn't get it.
I used to sing that one while playing the bass line on stage. Great fun
11. Pretty much all the LP's are great fun to jam along with from start to finish
12. Oh my dear God ! I still have the first bass I ever owned and gigged, a white one of these with a maple neck. It was the only bass I had in my teens and I played everything on it . Never seen another one until now
13. Nice to see an old Burns after so long. Brings back some very fond memories from the 1970's when a few more were around GLWTS
14. Oldest song that keeps coming back ? Happy Birthday !
15.
[sub]Nothing whatsoever. [/sub]
This, apart from the endless entertainment of tinnitus. What fun
16.
Nice
Very, very nice
17. I've done some reflection on this since last posting. Since your GP has already done the referral, you could contact the GP's and ask which hospital the referral was made to. Once this is known, you can contact the orthopaedic department for further info (including the expected waiting list time). Google the names of the surgeons in the department and see what comes up. Also, you could join local special interest groups, they will be a gold mine of information. You're welcome to PM me if you like
18. There is an orthopaedic surgeon in my borough that specialises in the management of Dupuytrens. Once he has done the initial assessment, he will present the options appropriate for that time. He really does know what's good for a given circumstance. Of course, the patient still has to consent to anything that happens. Recommend you find the name of your area specialist and research what he's like. If he's good, recommend him to your GP. Best wishes with it
19. Remember playing a Les Paul Custom through an HH in the 70's. It sounded great at the time, the guitar's natural tones came through beautifully GLWTS
