Just listed my Chorus pedal on Ebay and this came up:
Attention sellers: Are you attempting to list a counterfeit or non-authentic item? Are you aware the listing of such items is not allowed on eBay? If you continue, your listing will be flagged and promptly reviewed. If your listing appears to offer a counterfeit or non-authentic item, it will be ended and your eBay account could be suspended. We may also refer your listing to the relevant company or law enforcement for review. If the item is authentic, we encourage you to provide more information in your listing. If it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity or has a serial number please state this in your listing. We appreciate your help making eBay an even safer place to trade. Warning: Do not click the submit button, unless you know the item is authentic.
Anyone else had this before? It seems a bit heavy handed, especially considering my feedback score.

i totally agree with you about it being the best Stingray ever - the mahogany body gives it added growl. i sold mine for exactly the same reason: fantastic bass, very well made, sounds fantastic but I don't want to take it to my local to gig with it. Fine if you are playing big stages or doing a lot of studio work well out of the sweaty reach of the anebriated and unpredictable

Has anyone had any experience with a Lado bass before?
Why did Steve Harris stop using the Lado? I seem to recall that Bruce Dickinson accidently nutted it in two on the world slavery tour...
Could he not just have told him he didn't like it? Seems a bit severe "Hey Harris? See that bass? I'm gonna stick the heid right intae it cos it looks like it belongs in the bathroom accessory section of B&Q" -
Kind of what I had in mind when I started my Baritone thread a month or so ago. I really like close string spacing, plus I'm experimenting with chords so something that would allow me to play bass and learn chords at the same time would be great Either that or I find a 5 string bass that could be converted to 6 string - I've done a couple of 4 to 5s so why not a 5 to 6

Cool - I had a couple of lessons from James Finnegan years ago after he left Hue & Cry and just before he joined Stiltskin

There are plenty of Glasgow based members who may be able to come out with you to help you - at the end of the day its still up to you but someone may be able to advise you. If I had the time I'd come through but i;d probably end up buying something myself

Where to go for Gallien Krueger in the UK?

Thomann are pretty good as well - bought loads of stuff from them - bought a bass a few months ago that was faulty and they arranged pickup as soon as I told them about it and refunded as soon as it was back at their warehouse -
wasn;t there a ninja one as well?

The one you wish you'd never EVER sold...
Delberthot replied to Jigster's topic in General Discussion
I've owned some amazing basses over the years such as: All black 5 string Stingray like Flea's Musicman Stingray 30th and 20th anniversaries Modulus Flea Carlo Robelli 12 string Warwich Thumb NT5 Rickenbacker 4003 - one in Midnite Blue, the other in a minty green Blueboy Ibanez SR1016 2 Unique Warmoths And you know what, I don;t regret selling any of them cos what I have now is exactly what I want. If I had been in a position similar to some above and had sold a bass for peanuts only to have them be worth a fortune a few years later I would be miffed but I have been very shrewd (and lucky) and 9 times out of 10 have made a profit I was fortunate to find a JV precision with a serial in the low 1xxxxx on Ebay for £200 a couple of years ago. Played it, didn't see the attraction with them and doubled my money a fortnight later. -

I bought my 700RB II from Soundslive earlier this year - very good service, quick to respond to questions I actually spoke to Darren at the Bass Merchant before buying and he said they weren't stocking them as they'd had a lot of faulty ones recently -
You, sir, are a legend. Funny thing is that I used to play in a band with that guitarist from Leith who couldn't transpose anything - He had about 6 Ritchie Blackmore Strats all tuned differently and the same number of Tony Iommi SGs - He does live in Edinburgh as well

A huge difference to be had by using a Comfort Strap. I use a variant that I bought from Stringbusters called a Brooklyn Gear Strap. Rubbery leathery thing that is both comfortable and provides a bit of help if you have a neck heavy instrument. Before this I vividly remember sometimes having to take the strap off my left shoulder and put it onto my right as it was so painful

When I had my Shuttle I used a cab stand. I sat my Schroeder 1212L on the stand and had, believe it or not. a DVD bracket designed to attach to a tube portable TV bracket. The only way to describe it was that it was designed to go round the sides of the DVD/VHS player and attach to the TV bracket above it. Anyhoo, I attached this bracket to my cab stand below the cab and attached the amp to it with the same size bolts that attach it to the combo but since you have the combo you can use the combo bolts assuming they come all the way out. It made for a very neat solution and a handy pointy towards you monitor thingy. Picture of the cab stand when I was using the GK head - the amp sat below the cab

This is gold guys - I don't play a precision (at least not any more) but am intrigued. I think I need to find myself a set of Steve Harris Rotos. the only problem being that I play very close to the bridge so those high tension buggers would be a nightmare to play- are the normal Rotos the same so I can get a lighter gauge?

As Dean of Leeds College of whatever, I can say that those damn keyboard players of Delta house are on double secret probation for their dis-services to music I've recently found out that they've been charging £150 per gig but when it comes to pay time, they show the rest of band the contract which only covers using the white keys. Those crazy guys are asking for double for using those ebony fellows.

Gig bags with room for a small amp head...

You could check out Roksack - I'm using one for my Thunderbird althugh I assume they make different models - 2 pockets that are way huge and little velcro thingy for storing your cables without them getting all tangly -
hmm, .Something to think about - I'm pretty much doing no slap these days so flats may be an option. I use 3 songs for my right hand workout - Phantom of the Opera, The Trooper and Parallel Universe by the Chilis At least Phantom has a bit of a breather in the middle - The Trooper is relentless from beginning to end with those triplets
This place seems a lot more welcoming and friendly than TalkBass.com.. Not that I'm bitching or whatever haha. Just a small observation! I'm very glad to be a new member of basschat! Hello everybody! Nick
Hence why I refer to it as Tallkbs Unless you;re a contributing member, you;re very much looked down upon I go on every so often to noise them up by saying Jaco was sh*t.
