Hmm, surprised there's been no response yet - when I asked about something similar to a Fender tonestack in a pedal, one of the ones I was recommended was this one.

Fodera Yin Yang - what do people think aesthetically?
Delberthot replied to molan's topic in Bass Guitars
I think the important thing is - do you like it? If so then that's enough to get one Thought it was ugly form the first point I saw it - and let's be realistic, how many punters are actually going to know who Victor Wooten is? If it sounds good and let's you play what you want on it then go for it. -
Yes - I learned it then bought the 'off the map' live DVD when it became obvious he was using a plectrum no wonder it was difficult to learn

I dare say anyone on here who sets up their own basses in your area could show you how its done. Once you know how to adjust everything, its all pretty straightforward for most people. There are those who would rather take it to someone to have it done - that's where guys like 7String on her come in handy if you are unsuare or want to know that its being done properly.

in other words the silk is a different colour and they're heavier guage. I think I'll try a set next time my strings need changing which will probably be the new year now. Cheers for the info

It will fit over a Gotoh 201 if that's any help? You could always check out the dimensions of both to see how close they are.

A common fix for the all too common Rick tail lift, even on the real ones, was to have 2 extra screws at the tail end of the bridge into the body. I was trying to find pics of it now but can't There'll be loads on the Rickresource somewhere.

your fingers lock as in they won't move at all or you get cramp and your fingers won't work properly? If its the latter then practicing will improve this, if its the former then go to the doctor

5 string bridges with 15mm string spacing
Delberthot replied to Delberthot's topic in Accessories and Misc
Most monorail designs will only go down to 16/16.5mm spacing. I think the Warwick style (2-piece) units will do the same. I've got a Kahler (2400?) on my Vigier. It's a royal bugger to do the intonation, and as Ped will tell you, the action adjustment is adjusted in half-turn increments of the saddles. That was too coarse an adjustment for him, but I found it fine. Beyond that, they're excellent but pricey! I really don't know how tight the Kahlers will go, but I'd guess at 15mm or even tighter, due to the shape of the rail pieces.
It was a Kahler I used the last time I did one of these so I know exactly how horrible they are to adjust and tighten up without them falling apart in your hands. Aha, found one and not as expensive as I thought it would be http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-KAHLER-USA-Hybri...=item45f3ee652a Just contacted the seller to double check that it will go down to 15mm but should as it looks to be the same model I used the last time -

C'mon guys, I spotted this yesterday morning. You're all getting a bit slow at spotting the comedy gold Egmond or tather bacon and Egmond bass with the patented banana headstock as used my Sir Paul of McCartney. Complete with f*** all as it would appear.
