  1. ‘Not too sure if it’s a Fender’ but the seller lists it as one in the title and brand name just for good measure!
  2. Bought this thinking it would be a great bass for my little grandson but I should have checked the size first! It is long scale! I believe it is about 12 or so years old and is in overall nice condition with very few dings and scratches. The neck has some nice flame and the capped maple fingerboard is also in good condition as are the frets. The pickups provide the expected P depth. The bridge screws, saddles and springs have some tarnishing but function fine, likewise the tuners. I don’t have a case or gig bag but could source gig bag (at extra cost) for posting if required. This could be a great bass as a starter, someone who wants to try a P, modding, breaking it and using certain parts for your own projects or as I was tempted to do.....try my hand at relicing!
  3. Cut for a top loading bridge right handed Precision and had no more than 3 hours use.
  4. A stunning neck and fingerboard…..what a bargain!
  5. This seller has been spotted on here before, most recently I think for a £400 bass case. They have listed Harley Bentons for more than £1000, so I think you can assume their pricing is a bit whacky. 😁
  6. Someone will have grabbed an absolute bargain!
  7. Very kind of you Joel, thank you.
  8. Italian made Markbass Minimark combo. Here is what Markbass day about it..... This compact bass combo is small but its power should not be underestimated! The Markbass Minimark Bass Combo delivers astonishing volume and power through an impressive 150W when it's used alone and reaches an astonishing 250W when combined with an extension cab. The perfect choice for rehearsing, practising or even teaching, the Minimark sports two 6 inch neodymium woofers and an on-board piezo tweeter. The Markbass Minimark Bass Combo is more than capable for you to use within a gigging environment. The compact amp section includes level control, VLE and VPF filters, aux in, headphone out, speaker on/off switch, and balanced XLR line out. This combo amp boasts an incredibly small size and weight, which enables you to even take this bass combo with you to a gig on public transportation. The combo is in fair condition for its age, the carpet covering has a few bobbles and the plastic corner covers do have some scuffs. There are also a few scratches to the metal matt black paint areas. However, the tone is absolutely as expected, warm and clear and surprisingly loud for such a compact unit. Even for an oldie like me, it is a very easy one hand lift! Personal opinion, but I prefer these black speaker units as opposed to the bright yellow ones - far more subtle! I would obviously prefer collection so you can test the combo but I will happily consider shipping at the buyer’s cost and risk. I do have some strong cardboard and good bubble wrap if required.
  9. I had one of these for a while and loved it. A good range of tones available and as you say, lighter than an Angel’s fart!!!
  10. Pigs in blankets.....yum! Dear @AndyTravis I’m not trying to derail this thread! No more from me on food!
  11. When I read ‘traditional P in the middle’, my (aged!) mind thought you were moving the existing J pup to the neck and putting the P in the middle! So a HBJ, P, HBJ mega combination! 😂
  12. If you didn’t go for flats on all three(!) 😀 then definitely this!
  13. Yep! My Jazz has flats and it sounds great!
  14. I have tried the HB flats and they were pretty good but don’t know about the rounds, although I have an unopened set of the value 40-95s! I have used the Warwick Red Labels and don’t think you can go too far wrong with those. I also have a couple of unopened sets of these! I think I need to buy some more basses so I can restring them! Do you think the wife will see through my plan?!?!
  15. Thank you! 760FL-S = short scale?
  16. I have a set of each on my Precisions. The whites feel as they possibly have a little more tension but not by much. As mentioned in other posts, the whites are much brighter in sound than the mellow blacks. Both sets are great strings!
  17. I’m reasonably confident the 760F-MUS are for stringing through the body and 760FL are for top loading. I had some 760F-MUS on a 70’s Mustang and they sounded great!
  18. Rats......if I hadn’t bought a 2 x 8 cabinet last week, I would have happily bitten your hand off!
