  1. Thank you @itsmedunc. I’m afraid I’m very old school and have enough difficulty remembering which end of a cable to connect to the bass then amp, then amp to cab, then mains to amp......and then remembering what to turn on to make a noise! Sorry @DavyI have therefore never even considered using this as a preamp direct into a mixer desk, so wouldn’t know.
  2. Yes, I found them much brighter than other flats or tapewounds. I have a set on a different Precision!
  3. I was delighted when Joel got in touch to buy a set of La Bellas from me, as I knew it would be another hassle free and enjoyable transaction! Thanks again Joel!
  4. Not a problem for me, they are 105 - 50, which is why I was even more attracted to the La Bellas. Other brands I used in the past were 115s which sometimes meant a bit of nut work. The 105 - 50s were a simple fit, I just needed a tiny bit of pressure to seat the 50 in the nut.
  5. I have a set of La Bella Black Nylons on my fretted Precision and absolutely love them! Easy on the fingers, no finger noise and a really delightful warm sound.
  6. This used to be mine, it is a great bass….
  7. Thank you for the suggestion, I will add some details later.
  8. Ashdown Superfly 500 (2 x250w) in really nice condition and complete with the original soft case. (No kettle lead). With a 7 band eq there are plenty of tones available and then stored in one of the 99 pre-sets, although the first 10 pre-sets are factory installed and cannot be over-written. My two favourites are 04 (known as Big Bottom by Ashdown!) and 19, see pictures. Both sound immense with a Precision wearing flats! Collection is most welcomed so you can try the head but posting can be arranged at the buyer’s cost and risk.
  9. Congratulations, fantastic basses! I had an AO 64 Jazz with the same camouflaged side dots. I like @Smanth idea of using a pen to highlight them and if I still had the Jazz, would definitely try that first as opposed to a luthier replacing them.
  10. Very nice and with a 40mm nut....I like it!
  11. That look so cool! Great job!
  12. A classic bass in a classic colour combination! GLWTS.
  13. Welcome to BC T Cee! Similar to you, I have been a long time Jazz Bass, fan who only in the past year has fallen for Precisions.....
  14. Stunning. I have so much respect and admiration for people that have the skill to build such a bass. Wonderful.
  15. I have a 2014 Precision, it is a fantastic bass. GLWTS.
  16. ‘Not too sure if it’s a Fender’ but the seller lists it as one in the title and brand name just for good measure!
  17. Bought this thinking it would be a great bass for my little grandson but I should have checked the size first! It is long scale! I believe it is about 12 or so years old and is in overall nice condition with very few dings and scratches. The neck has some nice flame and the capped maple fingerboard is also in good condition as are the frets. The pickups provide the expected P depth. The bridge screws, saddles and springs have some tarnishing but function fine, likewise the tuners. I don’t have a case or gig bag but could source gig bag (at extra cost) for posting if required. This could be a great bass as a starter, someone who wants to try a P, modding, breaking it and using certain parts for your own projects or as I was tempted to do.....try my hand at relicing!
