Looks like 5 band EQ, VLE and a "Millerizer" control, which I'm guessing is exactly the same as the VPF. LED backlit input? The usual nasty Markbass graphics...... (and this from someone with MB stuff!)

Superb bag, but I've decided to go with a different Mono bag for my gigging needs. All the Mono spec is here, but it's essentially a large backpack with a detachable laptop section. Loads of pockets, mine is the black version, and everyone knows Mono quality is top notch. Sorry for the stock photos... This one is in excellent condition, no rips or tears or stains or anything like that. A solid 9 out of 10 in my opinion. £200 ish new, I'm firm on £120 posted in the UK.

I sold a gig bag to Chay. It was an effortless transaction and he was a pleasure to deal with.
Sorry to resurrect this post again. Does anyone know where this bass is now? Robbie
Last I saw it was at an online shop called "Shady Grove", but that site closed last year I think.
Thanks for the info TPJ do you know how much they cost and is he still building? I was looking for this on Facebook and there isn't much activity on his page.
Mine was only made a couple of months ago and was £90.
Does that one on the right still run off a battery or from a power supply?
Mine is power supply, but you can choose either/both for all versions

The FDeck clone by 4114 is excellent. I added one to my DB setup recently and it was a revelation: tightened the sound up and no more boom or feedback I have the same model as the one on the right in this pic.

In shopping for a decent quality gig bag to house a new bass, I came across this new to me model from Protection Racket - the Gig Case. And then a friend offered me a Mono Vertigo, which is my favourite bag of all time, so of course I had to buy it. This is brand new, never out of the house, and surplus to requirements It's light, slimline, and well padded with high density 10mm foam on the front and back, but lacks the internal frame its more expensive cousins have. The entire headstock area inside is lined with a hard wearing "Racketex" material, as is the bridge area, while the rest of the bag is lined with "Velvetex", which is a soft but durable brushed cotton. The neck is cradled in a large, movable, firm neck cushion that keeps angled headstocks off the back of the bag. Like the Mono Vertigo, it is a top loader. It has a strong and comfortable handle. Decent protection on the outside of the base, and inside the case there is a thick bolster to cushion the bottom of the bass: no chance of damaging your end strap pin if you drop it. For £50 RRP, if you want something lightweight and sleek, I think this is hard to beat. I'd like £40 posted.

I sold a Mono "Tick" to Drew. It was a seamless transaction and I would happily deal with him again.
I'll speak to my drummer. He's down Bournemouth/Poole way and will know I'm sure.
Spoke to Ian and read him these replies: he agreed.

Quick review - Protection Racket Gig Case

The front and back panels are actually quite firm and don't flop down at all. There is no rigidity in the side panels. -
Hmmm...as an owner of a couple of angled headstock basses, that alone is enough in favour of the Protection Racket. Why is it that the Mono doesn't work so well with angled headstocks? Is it just that it doesn't have any raised support for the neck?
Correct. I tried one and the whole top of the bag angled back. I felt if it fell over it was too much of a risk. Perfect for Ps and Js though... -
This looks like a direct competitor to the Mono sleeve at half the price. Have you used the Mono? And if so how would you compare the two?
Yes, I've had the Sleeve. It's a good bag - I love Mono build quality and style - and you can fit more in the pocket for sure, plus I suspect the outer is a bit more durable, but I prefer this bag as it's smaller all round, and unlike the Sleeve you can definitely use it for angled headstock basses. On balance, and at less than half the price of the Sleeve, I think the Protection Racket wins. -
They also make a semi-rigid (oo-er) foam gigbag/case for a bit extra.
Indeed they do, but as the Gig Case was new I thought it was worth highlighting as an option. It is also considerably less bulky than their regular cases.
