  1. No worries. Sadly we’re back home from our holiday near you.
  2. Start with front and back doors, then the shed. After that you’re on your own. (sorry)🤡
  3. I’ve got a couple of acres, I think my trousers are too tight.
  4. It wasn’t edifying was it. From memory, the action at the end of the “restoration “ was awful, you would need to take a bus from the string to the fingerboard.
  5. Never weighed it Dave, just from memory. Tended to use it for certain songs on a few gigs, never all way through.
  6. One of my favourite basses to record with. Too heavy to gig with these days.
  7. We’ve had Overrated, underrated & (recently) properly-rated how about Reinstated? I’ll start (and probably end) Derek Forbes. Sacked 1985, Reinstated 1996/7
  8. Most regret parting with the fretless P in the mid 80’s to pay rent deposit. One of the first early 70’s run. Played and sounded fat. I wish I hadn’t parted with the red trim 4x8 and 1x15 mini cabs that were “not Ashdown”. Portable, sounded great and looked good. Sold to fund something trendy on here which didn’t stay long. Would buy back in a heart beat. The high speed revolving door of “Hotel GAS” is difficult to extract oneself from I find. Having said that, current fretless P has been in my possession for over 18 months and is used daily, and Ampeg rig is 9 months old, so perhaps I’m doing better these days?
  9. I remember the Woolies audition bass amp I borrowed off a mate for my first gig. I think it was a stack rather than a combo.
  10. Notacaster?
  11. My favourite Strat model.
  12. Shame, I was hoping to combine postage on the tractor, the Martin 00 and mobile catering van.
  13. Not a prog fan myself, but I thought Genesis version of “Can’t hurry love” was very good.
  14. Looking at his other items for sale, he’s got an incredibly diverse range of items at no reserve. Hacked account is likely.
  15. Has this gone @Zummerbass ?
  16. I really don’t NEED this. Who am I kidding?! But I’m happy to pick this up, take it to Bath and store it, if that would help anyone get it nearer home (a la BC relay). Passing through Wellington Friday 9th.
  17. I’m passing by Wellington Friday week (9th). If it isn’t snapped up by then, I’ll be happy to take this. But anyone who can get there first, I’ll understand. Cheers. John
  18. Egham by the title. This seems a very good price. GLWTS
  19. My perfect neck width and profile. Don’t need a bass, but if I did.... GLWTS
  20. Loved the Grooves I owned, the neck profile is really nice.
  21. Don’t be disheartened @NancyJohnson I think it would be a triumph if BC managed to end up with its own “model”. Yes it’s ambitious but, as you said, has been achieved before. Good on you for sticking your neck out.
  22. Watching this with interest. I’m not “in” as I have the dullest of dull tastes in instruments and no money. But will be intriguing to see if a minimum of 10 bass players can agree on a design and spec and cost. So far it may end up as a long/short scale, headless/headed twin neck, natural sparkly 4 string bass VI with minimum of 7 pickups. Just for sheer entertainment, I think there should be a minimum of 12 months/weeks/days (after initial delivery) before they are allowed to appear in the FS section 😂 Good luck though with this, seriously. I do think it’s a great idea even as a social experiment.
  23. Space invaders anyone? Sorry, couldn’t resist. I’ll check with the guy who does my DB setups and repairs and see if he fancies these.
  24. Love my 250 Portabass head. GLWTS. Funnily enough, mine is kept in an aluminium case like that, with the cables inside.
