If you've been playing for any amount of time or are any kind of decent musician you will know the Level 42's records are musically and technically superior to RHCH just by listening.
Oh please, don't patronise me. It is quite possible that I have been playing longer than you've been alive. You are attempting to present opinions as fact, that's all.
 2.
the type of music King plays is far superior to Flea's anyway
Can you prove or quantify that, or are you just stating a personal preference? I suspect the latter. Doesn't make it a fact.
 3.
and as for Flea he's an ok bass player, but nothing special, and certainly nowhere remotely near league of the guys i mentioned.
Or in other words, "bassist A is better than bassist B". What was I saying about it being a pointless argument?
 4.
And this guy is being compared to Mark King.....what a joke!
It might come as a great shock, but not everyone likes Kinger as much as you do. This doesn't make you right and them wrong, or vice versa for that matter. There really is nothing quite as pointless as arguing that bassist A is 'better than' bassist B.
 5.
Bootsy for Dress sense? Si
Ah, hit it baby
 6.
Facial Hair
Lee Sklar would win this hands down
Booze/Birds/Drugs Rating
Ditto Nikki Sixx..!
 7.
That's prob all youre good for.
Ooh, nice. And you said he sounded like a two year old..?
i want to know what proper funk is....???
Go and write out 100 times, "I must listen to James Brown".
 8.
Alan's only 50? Amazing! Great picture
I reckon Alan looks about 40, never mind 50 was a great night, Al played a song on every instrument in the band he even played sitar on one. It was interesting to hear my bass in someone else's hands. We clubbed together and bought him a trumpet.
 9. From our sax/keys/everything player's 50th birthday party gig-ette last night. Blurry, but I kinda like it actually. Yay, I'm officially a Bass Player In A Hat
 10. I'm ampGAS free too. I'd like to try a couple of variations, different cabs really, but it's just vague curiosity. My Genz/Eden combination is doing the biz for me at the moment.
 11.
Actually it sounds like an opportunity to offer some classes in "basic PA setting up for mothers and daughters" and " the fundimentals of a band"
And "Why You Are Too Stupid To Ever Gain Respect As A Musician"
 12.
Anyone remember the POINT?
Yes, very fondly. I enjoyed playing there. It was a disgrace the way it was killed off
 13. If it's anywhere near as good as my much older AKG wireless (and being newer, it's probably better), then it's very good indeed. Infinitely better than the Nady I used to have. Have an unneeded bumpette
 14. Brilliant news! Our gig there earlier this year didn't happen due to all the legal nonsense... hopefully we can reschedule it now!
 15.
Brycie left for finnbass around the time the forums changed to Basstalk/Basschat. He's still in Hush I think.
Yeah, Chris is a nice guy. He bought my Toby 6 and I bought his Hartke amp. I wish he was still here.
 16. 17 basses in total, still got 10. 13 amps (incuding combos) and 10 cabs in total, still got 3 amps and 3 cabs. Of course, as we know the real dreaded question is: "So why have you got so many basses when you've only got one pair of hands?". Experience has taught me that the best answer to this question is NOT "Well, why have you got so many skirts when you've only got one fat arse to wrap them round?"
 17. Well, I thought mine was going to be the first phaser to grace this thread...
MXR Phase 90 - Borrowed from a friend
...but no. Apart from aforementioned Ibanez PH7 phaser, I also use an Ibanez PD7 distortion, Boss CEB3 chorus and Yamaha octaver. All used very sparingly.
 18. I am going to start a luthiery business purely so I can produce a bass called a OverWoodDingWalembic
 19. My very first gear: 1964 Höfner Artist 2, purchased for £20 off my metalwork teacher. Still got it. homemade 30w amp, made with help from my physics teacher. no-name 1x15" cab Replaced by my first half-decent gear: Columbus Jazz Phoenix PHA-1 100w amp Custom Sound 4x12" cab
 20. God, is this album really 34 years old??
