1.
Of course you won't like it if it's hip hop. I have never had a conversation with a middle aged white bloke about Kanye... or even classic hip hop (DMC/PE etc.)
I was going to make a comment along the lines of "a lot of us were listening to hip-hop when you were still a twinkle in your dad's eye" or suchlike... but to be honest, Skank has 'smashed it' so comprehensively with his comment that I don't think I'll bother
 2. Brick House... oh my GOD how funky is that band?? Fantastic stuff. Anyone else noticed that the bassist has taped over the logos on his bass and his Ampeg rig?
 3. Just listened to Awaken from the House Of Yes DVD soundtrack. And as usual, the confetti bit has brought a tear. Added poignancy this time. RIP big guy.
 4.
This is music 2015 style.
It's one aspect of music 2015 style, yes. Thankfully not the only one.
 5. Well strictly speaking, isolated bass and vocals. Feast your ears.
 6. If I've taken away anything from that review, it's the assumption that this 'Agreeable' chap must've been starved of affection as a child or something.
 7.
fnarr
Sorry, but I'm afraid the contract contained a double-entendre exclusivity clause too. So your comment should now read:
fnarr © D.Moore 2015
8. Point of order, Mr Delvar. I was in Ms Moore's kitchen unblocking her waste disposal unit at the time of the event you describe, and from what I heard the nocturne in question was clearly a Debussy. Incidentally, a confidentiality contract Ms Moore required me to sign before the commencement of works prevents me from revealing what it was that I found the blockage to be -- suffice it to say that it no longer worked, even with a new battery.
 9. I would happily give him 100,000[sup]**[/sup] for it. ** Indonesian rupiah, that is. Current exchange rate = 21,030 to the £.
 10.
"Cue said they had already been been hearing "a lot of concern from indie artists about not getting paid during the three-month trial period" before Swift spoke out. But he said "we never looked at it as not paying them"."
Of course not. It isn't "not paying them", it's "giving them exposure", which as we know is just as valuable as being paid.
 11.
This is a great site: http://dwtheme.com/derbyshire/1963/
Talk about a dream job. The Radiophonic Workshop must have been an amazing place to work back in those innovative days.
 12.
I didn't want to do this, but you asked for it. Now it's about time to understand your own language. I guess you learned it your way, so not ... correctly. <snip>
patronise [ ˈpātrəˌnīz, ˈpa- ] VERB (patronising) 1.treat with an apparent kindness that betrays a feeling of superiority: "“She's a good-hearted girl,” he said in a patronising voice" synonyms: treat condescendingly · look down on · talk down to · put down · treat like a child · treat with disdain · condescending · disdainful · supercilious · superior · imperious · scornful · contemptuous · uppity · high and mighty

 15.
I'm only 8 miles from Reading!
Just out of interest, whereabouts? I lived in Shinfield for 20 years
 16. Hi Damon Thanks, but I already have a Korg DT7 in my gigbag and there's a tuner in my Pod XT. Ta for the interest though!
 17. I've been playing 5s almost exclusively for well over 20 years. I still have 4s and they get used occasionally, but it's pretty much all 5. Bizarrely, I found that the more I got used to playing a 5, the easier it became to switch between a 5 and a 4 or vice versa -- the more I got accustomed to that extra string being there, the less I noticed it when it wasn't. If you see what I mean.

 19.
The new wooden warwick tuners are possibly the least attractive 'improvement' or design feature I've seen. Not for me thanks
I hadn't noticed those before. On closer inspection... ewwww. Ghastly things.
 20.
Returning to the main topic of this thread, I do think that the BBC should be giving an opportunity for people to hear things that are significantly left field.
Dear Sir, Your correspondent’s suggestion that the BBC should lurch even further to the left is typical of the sort of namby-pamby politically correct elite this country is now riddled with. Why, only the other day Binky and I were discussing this very subject and we both came to the conclusion that the best thing to do with the communist BB so-called C would be to have them all shot, and start again using decent hard-working [s]conservative voters[/s] families as their staff introducing decent hard-working values and an end to the politically correct namby-pamby nonsense the B so-called BC is now riddled with. It is a disgrace that in this day and age I can no longer shoot trespassers, and old ladies are mugged in their own cupboards and our borders are left open to literally billions of unwashed layabouts from Paraguay and other european so-called countries and the BBC namby-pamby elite stands by and does nothing to stop them. There is only one language these people understand and that is a damned good thrashing. I had one every couple of hours at prep school and it made me what I am today. Yours angrily Col.(ret’d) Courtenay Bigguns-Lately, DSO NBG KFC and bar Surrey
 21.
Someone told me that Michael Manring isn't able to play over here.
He was at Manson's in Exeter about 4 years ago, so if that's true it must be a recent development.

 23.
Yamaha have their fingers in an incredible number of pies. What they do have an impressive skill in is copying.
I'm having trouble working out which basses the TRBs and RBXs are copies of.
