Don't know what made me think of it, but this morning my memory randomly dug up a quote from Melissa Auf Der Maur in Bass Guitar magazine: Q: "Are you still playing Precisions? Oh sweet. I had a D-tuner on my Pro II-E for many years, looked just like this... I took it off and sold it when I stopped gigging the bass. Rather wish I'd kept it on now. Brilliant thing, totally reversible and the single best mod you can make to a 4 string bass IMHO.

Drummer in my first really good band left us to play with 5:30. He didn't play on Bed, but he did subsequently play with Paul Bassett in Orange Deluxe. I'd love to get in contact with him again... if anyone knows a drummer (or even an ex-drummer) named Keith McCubbin, let me know!
