I quite like the look of their maple f/b necks too. I have an old Harley Benton JB loaded body hanging around and quite fancy sticking a neck on & tuning it BEAD for a giggle. Trouble is that the neck pocket is quite narrow and the widest heel it will take is 62mm. I think mine is also too far gone to be restored to factory. One pickup is dead and the other's not brilliant, only 3 out of 4 tuners work properly, the bridge is damaged albeit functionally ok and the original pots & knobs are long gone. It'd cost a fortune to make it worth money, and I'd rather have fun with it.

I fitted licenced Ultralites to my V7 fiver. I weighed them and the stock ones, there was half a pound difference. That is a hell of a lot, and yes they helped.

Excitement here also! Arrived safely this morning and I have to say I am blown away by their quality. Quite incredible. Here's one placed in situ on my bass, already looking a zillion times better than the previous gold vinyl decal. This and Maude's build have got me inspired to restore my bass to good working order. Watch this space.
