  1. The price includes postage and packaging and I get stuff out next day delivery. Pic’s to follow later. So an opportunity has come up to get some pick-ups I’ve been after for a while and this means my p bass is getting a face lift! It also means my SPB-1 and the solder less wiring loom to go with it are up for grabs. This set comes with original SD box and Basschat institution kiOgon’s famous solderless wiring loom. Yhis let’s you get hooked up in minutes with no hassle. I’ll include a snap connector for solderless connection of the ground cable too. It also means once fitted you can try out different pick ups with no soldering hassle. Bellissimo! The pick up info is included below The SPB-1 is a vintage correct split-coil Precision Bass pickup made to look and sound like the late 50s originals. SPB-1 Description The P-bass has defined recorded and live music since its inception, and the Vintage P-Bass pickup nails all the things we love about that distinctive tone. You will get just the right balance of authoritative thump and clear articulation for an authentic P-Bass feel. Our Vintage P-Bass pickup uses hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets, and a vintage coil wind to deliver all of the bold, smooth tone of the late 50s Precision Bass. For what it’s worth I love a p bass and this pick up along with the DiMarzio Model P, the Fender CS’59 and the Bartolini are among my top five. Not sure what the fifth one is but there’s four to start with 😀
  2. Another happy customer. Peter took a comp from me, paid quickly and has been charming in all comms. It was a pleasure, Sir!
  3. Joseph bought some pick ups and as others have said ‘‘twas a painless joy filled experience. Enjoy!
  4. Sold! Sold! Always believe in your soul. You have the power to know etc etc
  5. Sold please close.
  6. Grabbed this to try out and it's immense fun! However my Cali still rules the pedal board for my ear/needs The TonePrint app is about to get amake over so all tweaks etc can be perfomed in app but int the mean time you can use the editor for PC/Mac The comp has a full library of available tone prints which cover the gamut of compression flavours. I've had fun bouncing different comps for different songs and the TC running into the Cali is fooking massive sounding - you'd think they would smother your transients but if fact they multiply the massive! Sounds counter-intuitive but its huge! The pedal is tiny and can snuggle onto a pedal board with minimal disruption to the existing ecosystem. Price includes delivery to UK. Pic's to follow.
  7. Got this for a P/J conversion on a P bass but I have decided to leave it for now due to another hair brained idea I'm currently using the GZR P in my p bass and its a brilliant, classic P bass pick up and it stands up to many of the boutique offerings out there costing much more. I think I prefer the SPB-1 a bit more - can't rationalise it it's just my preference. The J is hum cancelling and I believe they're both AlNiCo 5 mags, custom wound for Geezer. This is a solderless set so no faffing required - I will provide a couple of wee snap connectors for the ground wire coming from your bridge - simply insert the wire from the bridge in one side, wore from the pick up in the other snap it closed and your off - don't strip the wires or you'll get hum - simply pop them in and snap! The set comes boxed with all the pots and wires included. You can be up and running in less than ten minutes! A review of the P/J set is below - price includes UK postage. Any question just ask!
  8. I’m using GHS flats branded as Lakland JO flats. Really nice good tension and wonderful feel. I’m a bit gutted that rounds are working better for my current 5’er gig. Still though the GHS are good. I also like ‘Jazz’ flats. Great tension if you’re new to flats they're not as stiff as some of the big names I.e. Jamerson flats and the like.
  9. Tidy little unit ... and he’s selling a nice pedal 😀 Badum tish!
  10. I've seen his beef bag. It's monstrous!
  11. I'd be tempted to get Sheldon to add a J pick up to my SPZ5 if it made a noticeable addition to the tonal options!
  12. I think the revisions to the app may allow this. I’m keen to see how it works out. Patch swapping among users etc feels like the current model for such endeavours.
  13. I’m just saying your views were that it didn’t work for you but a lot of people jump on that. I’ve said that you were the only person qualified to give a first hand opinion as you owned it. However some folk align with that and bias that to their opinion. All just observations👍🏽
  14. Yup negative opinions on a forum has sunk more gear than the Reich!
  15. Interesting to see everyone setting them differently so it’s not just one setting that works. Half the fun of a new pedal is playing it on its own then intergrating into a board/rig
  16. B2ADB looks like some odd Soundgarden tuning 😆
  17. @tonyxtiger I've just moved up to Loanheid (and loving it) Glad to hear this has all went well for the folks involved -discount, delivery (well nearly) and happy customers all round! Look forward to the fxpedals relaunch!
  18. Ahh I see
  19. @Bigwan I was under the impression from the videos I’ve watched that it does allow for this? Mary Spender vid on you tube has her playing via the OMEC and it appears to do this? I guess I’ll find out later this week!
  20. If only there was a way to get virtually lag free use of my software synth patches ( or any of the multitude of patches of my daw plug ins etc etc) but triggered from my bass out on a gig and save the need for three different pedals to do a sub standard pastiche of said tones. Oh wait! What’s that Orange? The Teleport allows you to convert both analog audio signals (an instrument for example) to digital to be processed with the many applications available. Additionally, the Teleport gives you the ability to convert digital audio signals to analogue (through mixers, D.I. boxes, amplifiers, etc. £99 for said device!! https://orangeamps.com/omec-teleport/ Have I missed a thread on this or have folk just not been aware of it? Looks like it could bridge the gap for using the bass to basically trigger killer synth and more via a laptop/desktop/iPad either at home or live without fancy pick ups and such! Looking forward to giving one a go!
  21. The GZR amp is a sig model so often that means an existing model is refined or tweaked to suit an individual. If Geezeer needed isolated outs for his live gig then that’s what he asked for. If his tech or a marketing guy approached Ashdown and finagled a Sig amp deal then fair play to all involved. If our understanding is it’s a souped up ABM600 with a specific tweak for a touring musician then we kinda know that if an ABM600 isn’t for you then it’s unlikely the GZR will be. Surely we’re savvy enough to marketing and advertising to know a 70+ year old isn’t necessarily going to be looking to the latests and greatest in tech. To be fair with his age a class d might be better for his back 😂 While sig gear can be very attractive it’s often idiosyncrastic too. I don’t think that’s news to any of us.
