1. I also want to join in...but don't have access to any kind of "most played" playlist However, off the top of my head, these are the songs I've recently been listening to the most: Take Your Time - Sam Hunt Need You Now - Lady Antebellum Whiskey And You - Chris Stapleton (and in fact, the entire Traveller album!) House Party - Sam Hunt Play it Again - Luke Bryan Where it's At - Dustin Lynch John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16 - Keith Urban There are others of course
2.
Aww! But that's the best amusement there is!
My self loathing and despair is pretty funny even if I do say so myself.
3.
Pics, or your buffoonery didn't happen!
There are no photos of me smiling! Actually there are loads but I hate them and they send me into a spirally pit of despair and self loathing. Therefore I will not be posting them for your amusement
4. I'm not a natural smiler...it makes me look like a buffoon! But I do move around when I play and occasionally break into a big grin when we get to a good bit. Of course it helps if I like the material.
5. Thanks for the heads up EDIT: Posted the wrong link like and idiot. Paul S to the rescue
6. Stunning looking bass. If it was 4 string and I had any money I would be all over this! GLWTS
7. I'd love something like that. Add a Barefaced One10 and a class D amp and it would be the perfect, portable rehearsal set up!
8. Thought some of you might find this interesting. Jimmy DiResta making a sign for Fodera http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_R_682NjZ0Y
9. Here are a couple of reviews... http://www.entertainment-focus.com/music-section/music-reviews/live/c2c-country-to-country-2016-chris-stapleton-live-review/ http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/music/652741/Review-Chris-Stapleton-country-2-country-festival-O2-arena
10.
Sounds suberb!
It really was. I've been a bit of a music cynic for a pretty long time now...probably due to being in strings of dodgy pub rock cover bands! But that 45 minutes of music has really excited me again.
Making me regret my decision not to go, I must say. Hopefully he will come back - seems quite a few of them do after appearing on C2C. Your project sounds like a good one - do you need a bass player?
There is every chance I might get the sack one day...I will let you know
11. I'm still very much in love with my SX 75JB LTD and my Retrovibe Aero2.
12.
I love Chris and Morgane's harmonies - they work so well together.
They did their version of You Are My Sunshine. It was stunning. Everybody went wild afterwards and the look on Morgane's face was priceless. I think she was in shock and just couldn't stop grinning. For a pretty big venue they somehow managed to make it feel incredibly intimate.
13.
Didnt know we had New Country fans on here! Both solid acts, guys. I was working in NAshville back in the eighties and nineties when it all started kicking off.
Oh yes. I have recently developed a real love of modern country. I'm putting together a project playing Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean etc. I am still boring anyone who will listen about the Chris Stapleton gig...I can't remember that last time I was this affected by a performance. It was magical, it really was
14.
I've got my fingers crossed that he can fit in a few solo dates a some point this year or next!
I'd love to see him again...a smaller more intimate gig would be mind blowing.
He would have been the only one I fancied seeing in the whole weekend's line up. Decided to pass this year after splashing put on a VIP box for both nights last year - plus Jason Aldean would have been a hard act to follow.
I was going on Saturday originally but swapped to Sunday once I found out Chris Stapleton was playing. I wasn't really that bothered by anyone else either. Also I was lucky enough to be in a box...makes it a nice evening out! I do like Jason Aldean...my band are doing Night Train
15. Was anyone else lucky enough to see Chris's oh too short set at the o2 last night? It. Was. Incredible. Breathtaking stuff. Bass, drums, Chris on guitar and vocals and his wife Morgan on backing. A tiny set up in the middle of a huge stage...and the biggest voice I have ever heard. The only way you knew you weren't listening to the actual Traveller album was the vocal ad libs and the mistakes which in absolutely no way detracted from the performance. The charming thing was that you could see that they were a bit overwhelmed. I don't think Chris even looked at the audience...he didn't take his eyes off Morgan the whole time...and everyone loved him more for it. No stagecraft, no bullshit, just a real band pouring their hearts into their music. After his acoustic rendition of Whiskey and You it seemed as though the applause would never stop. I confess I had a tear in my eye there was so much love for them. If he doesn't headline the Country 2 Country festival I will eat my cowboy hat.
16. R*******r pretty much sums it up for me. Funny colour bursts. I'm ok with sun and tobacco...but struggle with crazy, wild ideas like "blueburst" etc.
17. Lovehunter. Bought it for the cover. Stayed for the bass playing
18. Same here. Been playing about 30 years on and off and have achieved nothing and played with no one. Unless you count the time I jammed with the drummer from Siam, one of the bands Tony Mills formed after Shy? Or the fact that I was invited to the party Pato Banton threw when he got to number one with Baby Come Back? Or that I met Dennis from Musical Youth? No. I don't count them either.
19. My latest project found me through Bandmix...and in fact, in the tangential side project, the drummer originally found me from Join My Band years ago. *painkillers and sentence structure don't mix.
20. I still love my Gen1 Compact. I can't see why I would ever change it. Unless of course it's for a Super Compact...or a One10...or two One10's. Yeah, I want two One10's.
21. Just found a video of Luke Bryan playing it acoustically and it is an Em7. I was absolutely convinced it was a G. Oh well.
