  1. You mean the orchestral hits in the end? That's a plugin Or the melody before that? That's an EWI played through a DSI Evolver. I am Dutch
  2. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  3. Was the AVRI in a nuclear explosion?
  4. Very pretty bass! I have the "reissue" of that one (The B2), also with an Aguilar preamp, which is a major improvement. I love Blade basses but the preamps are...so so. Good luck with the sale, can't believe no one has snatched it yet.
  5. I visited Wunjo two months ago when I was in London for the LBGS, and the guy there was really nice, and although he knew I wasn't going to buy a bass he took the time to have a chat about vintage basses, Yamaha TRBs and so on. Very nice guy and if I had budget for a new bass while in London (or in the area) I'd certainly visit Wunjo.
  6. Hot damn! Free bump for your gorgeous bass. Wish I could afford it.
  7. Oh boy. A lot. I've doe a lot of cover gigs and with my own coverband we play 3 sets of an hour with tons of medleys in 'em. I guess about 70 songs for that band alone, I know a couple of albums by heart (RHCP, Bob Marley a.o.) and many reggae songs. So yeah. Many.
  8. In England at the moment, have some free time in Bath Thursday afternoon, who's up for a beer?

Thanks! I'll sure try to find it :) We'll be leaving around 8 pm so if you have time, let me know :)

  9. Thanks! I'd honestly never heard of Hatfield and the North before. Gonna check that out for sure.
  10. I used my Sub Phatty in the studio recently on the single for my fusion band Tyranni Flock: And I also recorded some bleeps and blops for another tune of ours, Dive In The Deep, in the EWI solo on our EP. Check it out here :)
  11. It's amazing how I've managed to stay out of your photos, considering I was there both days the whole time
  12. EP of my fusion band Tyranni Flock is out! Check it on Spotify: http://sptfy.com/14rz

Listening to it as we speak :-) Great stuff !

  13. Aaaaand the EP is out! Super duper duper proud of this. Click on the cover to check it on Spotify: My fretless Jazz is on all tracks, except for "Speeltuin" which includes my Fender P and Moog, as I said in the previous post We were at a Dutch radio station last week, where we played the entire EP. Check that out here, at about 30 minutes in. I'm super curious to what you guys think
  14. I’m currently at a concert and one of the bass players uses this bass. Doesn’t sound very spectacular through that SWR Redhead but certainly looks the part. Does anyone know what it is?

I love the combination of the conventional body and colour with the modern touches of blade pickups, graphite neck and Hipshot(?) bridge. Very cool bass. Must sound amazing.
  16. Single for my fusion band, Tyranni Flock, is out TODAY! http://spoti.fi/2trV3Il

Thanks! Moog in the beginning, but throughout the tune is my '71 Precision.

  17. First single is out! It's called "Speeltuin", which translates to "Playground". Check it on Spotify here. Gear used: Fender '71 P, Moog Sub Phatty. I wonder what you think!
  18. A previous owner of one of my basses has tried to clean it but apparently used the wrong thing for it, since there's superficial scratches all over the body and headstock. Is there any way to kinda get rid of those scratches? They look like they're just in the clear coat.
  19. I’m almost back in Amsterdam, and I enjoyed the show a lot The lay-out was better than two years ago (I wasn’t there last year) and although I hung around at the Eich stand mainly (who tried the Bass Board?). Sorry about the noise now and then. We try to keep it down whenever possible but some people love to crank up the amp when we’re not watching. We sometimes had some problems talking when someone was trying out the Darkglass pedals or a Vanderkley amp, so I hooe we can find a better solution for that next year. Testing amps is always a hard thing at a show like this. Personally, the four-neck bass wasn’t my fsvourite either and I’ve turned down the amp multiple times there. But as I said yesterday, please please ask us about the volume next time. We rarely got comments from the lady with the decibel meter, and especially today the guys from Bass Direct didn’t complain either. It’s hard to hear how loud you are on the other side of the room when you’re standing next to an amp I occasionally walked into the luthier’s room or the hallway to have a chat with Sander de Gier, Andrew (of Anaconda basses) or other great folks. Absolute peak for me was the Dingwall Combustion 5, the trans white one. It fit my hands perfectly and it’s an amazing match with the Eich amps. Might save up some cash to buy one soon. Another plus for me is always the city, I’ve visited London many times already and it just feels like home somehow. I already saw some photos on Facebook, looking forward to seeing more shots!
  20. Yeah sorry about that. It wasn’t me but I was at the stand and the guy was turning up the amp every time we turned it down. We’ll pay more attention to that tomorrow. Please ask us tomorrow or have somebody ask if you’re bothered by it First day was pretty cool! More people than I expected and I was really blown away by the Marleaux and Dingwall basses. Can’t wait for tomorrow, but first, beer!
