  1. What else can I add to the excellent feedback already stated above.. Deal done in 10mins, brilliant comms throughout, amazing sturdy packaging and next day delivery as promised. Top Basschatter Clarky ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ
  2. ...mind you, I've never needed to cut the top off a small nail like the original advert ๐Ÿ˜‚
  3. Great bit of kit to have in your armoury, surprisingly versatile for cutting, sanding polishing etc I'd recommend the 'real thing' if your budget allows, they are very well made and tool bits are decent too
  4. A dremel has pulled me out of a few potential DIY disasters ๐Ÿ˜†
  5. Looking good so far. What about trying a dremel first, with say a little sanding drum just to be cautious? You could accurately expand the sides out just where the pots need to fit? ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. Nice one @Obra, you must have had time to kill, I thought this thread was dead and buried quite some time ago ๐Ÿคฃ Pleased to report back that this still gets played regularly, and sits in the corner of our living room.
  7. I discovered this thread and took a punt as backup for my Ultimate Ears Triple fi IEMs, for just ยฃ40 I bought these from Amazon, just happened to get free Prime for a month too, so they arrived next day. WOW! Not only do they look great, they sound absolutely amazing for the money. I've tried them with PC, ipod, and phone and I cannot believe how good they sound for the money, they give my far more expensive UE in ears a run for the money, just wanted to thank fellow basschatters for this thread, these Kz ZS10 pro IEMs are brilliant IMO ๐Ÿ‘
  8. Brilliant quick transaction with Tim, what a gent! Brilliant prompt communication, superbly packaged, and arrived the very next day. Impressed? Absolutely! ๐Ÿ‘Œ Top Basschatter, and as said above, deal with confidence
  9. WOW what an amazing transformation. I was lucky enough to try Robin's bass at a bass bash a few years ago, it is a beautiful piece of work, but now looks equally incredible. Great thread @rk7 thanks for sharing that superb workmanship by OW ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  10. Smooth and straightforward transaction with Tomaso @TheSwing, good comms, no hassle, next day delivery following payment from me. Excellent ๐Ÿ‘
  11. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Great work and great pics ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  12. May as well have an interlude while you wait for the postie Andy ๐Ÿคญ
  13. Here comes a reminder of one of the most inspired rebuilds on here, and one of my personal favourite's ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  14. Think you'd struggle to get all that on a headstock mind....
  15. Anyone else thinking this could be the fastest build we've seen Andy do so far? ๐Ÿ˜ Stunning work as usual.
  16. I transformed an Ibanez Blazer that had a split in it's body into a different beast last year, always fancied a Stingray type bass. With a Seymour Duncan MM pup and John East pre it certainly does not sound like a Blazer any more..๐Ÿ˜Ž Build diary is here .. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/337115-the-blazerray-now-finished/ Couple of pics of the finished bass I named The BlazerRay..
  17. Blast from the past, I subscribed to IM back in the 70's and early 80's, that's got to be quite rare?
  18. Now then.... Do I spot the early signs of a volute? He who shall remain nameless will be well chuffed, because apparently he loves... ..etc...etc... ๐Ÿ˜‚
  19. Big +1 from me. Always admired Maccas singing and playing combination coupled with some great basslines, this being one of them ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  20. WOW, WOW and WOW again!! How the hell I missed this thread I don't know but I've just read it front to back. Absolutely brilliant, everything, blog, pics, details the whole lot! What a diary and what an experience, I knew you'd done some big gigs but for a local lad that has got to be the ultimate! Very well done that man, simply awesome
  21. Now that's come out rather well ๐Ÿ˜‰ That bridge pup is also very interesting.. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  23. Nice work, that looks really good ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  24. Little update. I messaged seller to find out history.. They replied that the bass was part of a 'famous bassplayers' personal collection, and had simply been stored unused from new. Amazing IMO, I have an '85 Walnut finish one of these, and it was my mainstay for years, best feeling bass I've owned, and an unbelievable action, its like putting on an old pair of trainers. But condition after years of gigging is not quite the same as this.. Its the colour of this too, never seen that transparent finish before.. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
