1. morning. we use something like this which is a little different, i've not seen a band on our circuit use one (yet!) http://www.soundbasemegastore.com/lighting/27912-scanic-oil-projector-120.html we use stands with our LED's, off to the side, or sometimes behind us, sometimes we may have them in front pointing up but it all depends on how much space we have (the biggest problem playing in pubs IMO) My biggest tip however would be to AVOID any sound to light pattern on your lights! This will make you look like a cheesy school disco! We use a slow fade in/out pattern so the colour changes slowly every 30 seconds or so. I also may have one static colour for a particlar song if the mood takes me. I control all this via an MXR foot controller (as well as the PA and playing bass and backing vocals!)
2. although im flogging my Taylor in another section (!!) I would echo other BC'rs and seriously recommend a second hand Yamaha. For the money, they make the best acoustics by far.
3. ah man our guitard lusts after one of these even over his mesa, hasnt got a pot to p*ss in mind...

shouldn't have flogged me that JV P in white then should you?!!
5. beautiful bass, any trade interest?
6.
I'm going to do you a real favour here. Forget the aforementioned options and vist Jon letts website. He currently has an outstanding four string fretless for sale (brand new stock) at an insane £400 including a hard case. If you havent heard of Letts basses then you are missing a trick....every bass is hand built to an exceptional standard. Why opt for mass produced when you can snap up a luthier hand made piece of master craftmanship. Letts fretless basses sound wonderful.
You did me a favour there! Ive been looking (and bidding) on some squier VM fretless but these look amazing. Has anyone tried/got one? Are the pups beefy enough? Im thinking of saving up some more gig dosh a little longer now.
7. those are great pics TBH !
8. need a price so we can get an idea of the trade value.
9. You must leave and keep looking until the right line up appears. I tried auditioning for several bands and didnt think much cop of any of them. In the end I auditioned and formed my own band (although now its our band and all decisions are taken democratically which isnt hard as there's only 3 of us!) My point is you will Never Be Happy with this guy, he will not improve very much at this point in his "developement" and you will be forever frustrated. Be polite but firm with the other bandmembers and say it's me or him, if it's you then so be it, move on, another opportunity will come along, I promise!
10. always learn the new material before a rehearsal, then fine tune it, get the timing sorted, harmonies etc.. It would take forever to get a 2 hour set up and running and gigging if you started learning stuff when you turned up to rehearsals!
11. send me a pm and i can email the tab in a PDF (got it off GP tabs)
12.
Hopefully it won't be the equipment or the mains supply at fault, I'd say it's more likely to be static from your body discharging to earth via the mic or anything that is earthed. It's a good idea to check the supply with your socket tester wherever you're gigging though, if there is/was a fault with the mains it could be lethal, as I'm sure you already know..
ok going to a proper noob here, how does one test the mains sockets at a pub? Is there a "plug in" device that tells you its ok? would deffo get one if there was. Some of the dives we play have well dodgy power supplies.
13. or deliberate..
14. Would never sell that baby, but then again Im clueless about Warwicks (got a couple of their cabs mind, and they're ok )
15. Ha Ha Brilliant. If you sell this bass, you know you're an idiot right?
16.
You might also find that taking the neck off makes it less worrying to ship. A lot of players would be happy enough to reassemble it.
Thats me that is! PM'd !!
17. weekend bump, someone must fancy a bass/acoustic guitar trade surely?
18. trades?
19. thats gonna look daft with the outlaws TB !!!!
20. ah well, its been shown here before loads of times, but here's the proof that playing with a pick can be as awesome as any other style... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hx2lza1Rb0U
21. 2800 euros! They're kidding right?
