    They were called the Hot Rod P/J. Came in Sunburst, Sunset Orange (ash body) and Black. I’ve worked on an orange one previously. Very nice basses.

    Just about to add these to neck. Will hold off drilling until I know if the bass is going as a full instrument or if in bits. @Beedsterhas a glut of bodies and necks for sale if anyone is thinking “ooh that neck would be nice on a sunburst…” he has a shoreline gold p/j body I think this neck would look ace on with a black pickguard… (I just need to stop thinking about it)

    Jack Casady - I had no clue who he was, but 34” hollowbody and looks ace. Was a Les Paul Signature Gibson bass before and Epiphone. then I started listening to his back catalogue. Quite a player. Also did an ace solo album I really enjoyed.

    See the big fattys are my preference - most other basses feel tidgy.

    I subscribed early doors to this method… I’m still waiting for results but I’ve enjoyed the process.

    Machine heads will now be reverse wind, long stem machines if you still want the full bass. Actually more expensive tuners…

    Well. Nobody seems to be biting on the bass as a whole and I need to get it gone. absolutely didn’t want to part out. Body £200 MIJ 90’s Fender - bridge and neckplate included, Loaded pickguard £100 MIJ Fender including knobs etc. Neck £250 MIM Fender Cover £15 Fender Plus postage in UK £10 body £10 neck £7.50 Pickguard £2.50 cover Collection/Bundles to save on postage etc possible or buy the full bass and get a free hard case

    Lovely - the raspberry red bb615/614/614/414 were the last lot of these BB’s before they went to the 424/1024 etc. Lovely colour - almost like Fender Dakota Red.

    Righto… tomorrow is the day I list as parts. id genuinely rather not part it out. I will listen to any near offers. will also entertain part trades for Yamaha BB’s. also, quick pic of the case I could include if shipping was required - think it’s a gator, feels solid and decent.

    I remember that being on a price list - set neck pbass. Came around the same time as the “lite ash” telecaster and “esquire GT”. Never actually saw one.
