  1. Chris has just bought a Yamaha BB from me. Flawless transaction; enjoy the bass.
  2. Maybe! I’ve got some shows in September/October so see how I’m fixed x
  3. This will be heading off to the vintage bass room in the next few days as I’m away for most of August Bump
  4. This will be heading off to the vintage bass room in the next few days as I’m away for most of August. Final Bump x
  5. It’s ace - an invaluable resource x
  6. Great news Rob xxx
  7. I’d know that arse anywhere 😉
  8. Ooft, hang on Richard…tell us what you really think
  9. magic arse shot.
  10. Interesting factoid…that combo on its side is exactly the same width as the bc210 and 212. not that I thought that was my ideal rig for a bit.
  11. Nice! Another one of these has come up on eBay. i’m not buying it though. https://ebay.us/m/qFzPx3
  12. Aye, she’s off doing a graphic design course of some ilk at college in September… All the kids are doing great. Just makes me chuckle that Ell’a birthday is also my Basschat anniversary too 😆
  13. Will entertain offers on this - I have now listed it on eBay/reverb etc.
  14. Here we are. 16 years on… She’s completed her GCSE’s, she’s not playing as much bass 😔 But she’s on the stage acting… We went to her show close last night. She’s bloody ace.
  15. This… he’s just done w2 for Tom Peterson…(1 is MIA 😟) but TP is gigging the other one. as @warwickhuntsays, @Basvarkenis Brooks Bass guitars.
  16. Yeah - the 51 is ace, but I’m trying to make space, builders start in September 🤩
  17. might be a g3, but just trying to justify it. Im playing the ripper a lot recently, so its the same feel with a different sound. I’ll entertain offers on this 51 though…the Yamaha has sold and I’ve had 2 messages about the Danelectro so I’m hoping I can make space in the rack. Id love to live in a world where I could keep them all…but I’d need a spare house.
  18. Will listen to offers on this - looking at a gibson
  19. Will listen to offers on this as I’m looking at a Gibson
  20. Nearly went. dont be sensible…whatever you do
  21. Searched high and low for one of these that wasnt a train wreck. Top of the range late 1990’s/early 2000’s Yamaha. DiMarzio pickups. Colour is Shelby Blue. 2 chips (photographed) Otherwise in decent nick. It is 30 ish years old so there are some marks but very good for age. These had a push pot for coil tapping - which failed; I nearly bought one new but the associated pot was knackered in the shop… When I got this, it had already been replaced with a standard pot. Sounds ace - but I need to clear the decks. And I’m not playing much bass, let alone guitar. My other guitar is a battered Pacifica worth about £90 so it makes sense to move on the more valuable one. no case - but I have packing materials. £15 to ship in UK (at buyers risk)
  22. Another one - Please Read. I bought this with a view to sorting an issue with the electronics (99.9% sure the switch is bollocksed) It arrived the Same Day as 2 Soloking Basses and the same week as the 51 build…so it’s sort of sat unused. When I got 10 minutes I Desoldered the switch and redid it. It went from only doing Neck Pickup and a weird out of phase sound…to neck pickup, weird phasey both and normal both…but I think it just needs a new switch (my orange one has a switchcraft replacement). Its got a few marks on it but plays well and sounds good. The Pickguard is lovely - but has the odd gap on it, looks the part from a foot away. Postage will be £20 in the UK at buyers risk Or it’s in Manchester (m27)
  23. I know I said I was going to send this to you - so if anyone in the NE wants to try it I can send to Paul
