    So, after chasing one of these for a good while - to replace one I stupidly sold… I found an immaculate blue one. it arrived and I was blown away. A minor issue was that the D tuning peg was slipping. Replaced with Hipshot Y tuners. Now smooth as owt. I swapped the knobs out for BB Black speed knobs. Looks loads better. Wearing Flatwounds, silky low action. Been offered a Shergold I’ve wanted since I saw it. So need to fund it. Original Knobs (Rosewood) and machine heads (even though one is hooded) will be included. Don’t really want it to go - but the house is too full currently 😂 Had to post a price, happy to listen to realistic offers via PM collection preferred - Manchester Can post at buyers risk. Slip cover gigbag only - so will buy shares in bubble wrap etc.

    Honestly one of the best bass sounds I ever had. Watched a gig back from 2023 with an SR5, just a phenomenal sound.

    Sweet Caroline is killing me off too, not so much the song but the inane bullshite sports version - good times never felt so good “SOGOOD SOGOOD SOGOOD” - Why? I watch a lot of boxing. I mute it every time it’s on.

    Zombie thread… A mate got a Marathon recently and I was instantly besotted. he wouldn’t sell it to me. So I went snooping and found a 1980 sunburst So that’s his one with my ripper - it’s a late 70’s one. this arrives next week

    Yeah. I think just a clear pickguard would make it look 20 times better. Anyhow, will leave that to whomever buys it

    Totally living the dream… I bought one of these 12 years ago and made a stunning bass - but, a recent bout of spinal pain means I need to wise up. I was stunned at the quality of the body on the original one I built and spent about £500 on making a “custom” from it. it hasn’t landed yet. ive already costed making it exactly what i want…and its £450 on top which im not going to do. but another bass is on the way and it needs to not stay long. Get ready for the weight…14lbs ish. £130 collected £150 posted in UK
