It has a charm. It’s not a patch on the original…but I watch it about once a year

The meeting is on Tuesday.

You might have to hold your horses. theres a band meeting been called. I’ve obviously raised some valid concerns and I don’t really want to leave. i wont lie - ive not been in a great mental space recently so maybe the band has copped for it… i dunno:

Mrs T said “it’s draining you” and I completely agree. I’ve somehow become the bands guidance counsellor and I haven’t got it in me anymore. a real shame, some good music has happened but the inch pinching rows have done me in. I really don’t care enough.

Yeah, I’m in my 3rd or 4th mode of this. I haven’t got the time for the shite I used to tolerate just to be “in a band” anymore. It’s a choice to be in a band, to wade through weeks of nonsense just to make hours of music makes no sense to me. I don’t really need a band as such. Wish I’d learned how to sing 😆

Howdy. Not quitting bass, but have just announced to the band that the next gig in September will be my last with them. There’s a lot more behind me knocking it on the head than just being fed up… I just don’t think, after 2 years that I want to be in a band with them anymore. We’ve been recording an album and It’s taken an age and the bickering and differences of opinion are taking their toll. I choose to do this, I’m not earning from it and it’s starting to feel like I should choose to not do it anymore…anyhow. The gear I own is solely down to “need” for the band. So I’m not overly attached to much of it. I’m going to set up sales threads for each part, probably 20 pedals and about 10 basses. I’m starting a project with a fellow basschatter and will just share music online - no plans to gig after September. Doing that “falling out of love with music” thing I seem to do every 4/5 years. Keep your eyes peeled x

Imagine if his solicitor made the same typo…🤭

“Noel Gallagher's divorce settlement from Sara MacDonald reportedly involved a £20 million payment to her, along with the transfer of their £8 million Hampshire home. This financial agreement was reached following their 22-year marriage. The divorce settlement also included a detailed financial disclosure process, requiring both parties to reveal their assets and any significant changes in income. Key Details: £20 Million Payout: Noel Gallagher paid Sara MacDonald £20 million as part of the divorce settlement. £8 Million Property Transfer: The couple's £8 million Hampshire home was also transferred to MacDonald.”

Well, after much piddling about. i’m in one band…just one. Fiasco Jam Named before I joined, it should be The Fiasco Jam or The Jam Fiasco if it were my shout, but it’s not…so I’ll shut up. All originals, sort of indie rock stuff. I enjoy their company and we’ve done an EP which is available on all streaming platforms called “Broken Bridges” - currently self-recording an album which is edging towards completion… Here’s a live recording of a track called “We’re Connected”.

I’d love one. But, it’s lottery win levels for me. Probably my favourite player of all time.

I always wondered if it was a dig as it was the first single post guigsy…
-
I’d happily say the same about Rod Stewart, David Bowie, The Stones, The Who… All bands have their breakthrough golden moments and the dregs of whatever career they can manage thereafter. Jesus, look at Metallica…haven’t done a decent album since 1991… RHCP depending what you think…maybe “By The Way” Was passable? As a point I love all the acts mentioned above - but skip huge swathes of songs as I listen.
-
Go let it out was a banger, “pick up the bass” That was Noel on a 4005 after Guigsy left. i’ll say though, if you actually listen rather than dismiss…it was a fairly present bass sound. I dunno, I like oasis so.

@Lozz196 the pics I’ve seen look like a 68-74 sunburst P

Everything I’ve seen suggests a fairly polished performance with good amounts of energy etc, Nice to see Bonehead bashing out the Barre chords. Shame I didn’t get tickets, but will be listening intently on Saturday next week as Heaton Park is about a mile from my house…
