1. Ta very muchly, great buyer, nice guy and some lovely gear! Recommended
2. hahaha, I think everyone on here can identify with something there. "Just because I'm a promoter doesn't mean I have to promote" far far far too familiar...
3. Good god I don't even understand half of those specs! I can only just about handle gain, bass, mid and treble knobs That said, I'm sure it's going to absolutely annihilate anything it comes near
4.
So I have a Marshall MB15 bass amp and a Behringer Bass V-Amp- can I run a normal guitar through this set up, and what will it sound like? Also, if that works- what cheap (under £100) guitar should I get? Thanks
Shouldn't be a problem I don't think. I used to be in a three piece band and I'd play a guitar through my rig if we needed a second guitar. Didn't have any problems. By the same token a band called The Bronx had their bassist leave mid tour (some family problem or something) so their guitarist went through his bass rig to try and maintain some of the low end. So yeah, go for it. Not sure it'll sound super great but you could probably get something usable out of it. As for guitars... try and pick up a second hand squire on ebay? I've heard good things about the yamaha pacifica guitars too
5. <smugness> No need, seeing him for the second time in June! </end smugness> Can't wait!
6. GT200 through your 8x10? That's gonna be beastly!
7. Jizzzzzzzz... lovely! I miss the grooveshoppe. I got my 535 from them too Lovely bass! Great price!
8. jizzzzzzzz... I love my 400+ . Incredible amp

10. I've always liked the look of em - I remember seeing a purple one with a dark fretboard (can't remember wood) and it was one of the most lovely looking things I'd ever seen. Though I have heard about the thin finish. This been addressed yet?

14.
kind of makes sense now I think about it... If you're after a pretty amp then the prettiest of them all IMO has to be the Ampeg B-15 Flip Top:
Now that is rather gorgeous

16. There's one on t'bay atm. Will be shipped from America and will undoubtedly be horrendously expensive but there we go: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VINTAGE-1962-FENDER-...=item53e12380f0
17. I've been GASSING after one of these for years. Only ever seen them in the £6000 odd price bracket so never really been a feasible idea!
18.
cheers man, please do. I see there's a lot out there but not a lot of difference, unless i had all the gear here to plug, play and fiddle with:( Trace Elliots/TC Elec's/Mesa Powerhouse, SVT amps?!?!
Will do mate. Currently have been pairing the Mesa with my 400+ and it sounds pretty mighty, so it'll be interesting to see how the Orange fairs. Another reason I suggested the Mesa 210 is they do turn up at quite a reasonable price second hand. I got mine for £250 IIRC. Ta!
19. Just a quickie - anyone know where I can get a Spector brand hardcase for my Euro 5? Ta very muchly
20. Hmm, I was looking for something similar and plumped for a Mesa powerhouse 210. Stack it vertically and it'll be fine for most small gigs and also it's quite light for what it is and what it sounds like. I'm picking up the Orange head next Thursday so I'll tell ya how I get on!
21. Aye, they be knobs. Simone was a goodun though.
22. There's also this old technique - 1) Put superglue on the finger tips of one hand 2) Place them on your forearm and hold them there 3) Let glue dry 4) Rip fingers off forearm, taking skin from forearm with them 5) Repeat for other hand = extra thick fingers!
23. Great guy to deal with . Quick, simple and easy transaction, couldn't ask for more really . Thanks dude!
24.
How did you get on? Did you try the Hydrive 15? Reviews seem to be a bit on the rare side on t'interweb to be honest. I wanted to know more about the Hydrive 4x10 and 8x10 - but there's not really any 'real world' teviews that I have seen yet.
I got my mitts on one in a store in the US, didn't get to give it a proper go around due to the environment (surrounded by 15 year olds slappity bappity clackitying their way through flea numbers) , but I was definitely liking what I was hearing. Good punch. Nathan Watts seems to like em, and in my mind that's one hell of an endorsement
