1. The moment my Pedulla goes I'm so here... this is exactly what i want to replace it with. How does the U retro affect tone? Cos I love the absolute bite of the Spector tone. Does it diminish it in any way?
2. Orange have reported me to the police BUMP!
3. SOLD PENDING USUAL Hello there, I'll update with photos and the like over the weekend, but I just thought I'd get the post out there. I'm looking to part with my Pedulla Rapture. It's the single soapbar version, 5 strings with 19mm string spacing. Rosewood board and dark cherry burst finish. It's one of the earlier models IIRC and has a pretty cool story to go along with it too - got brought in with the first batch Mansons got over here, and was transferred over to the Bass Cellar, who then lost it and couldn't find it for a number of years! Anyhoo, when I bought this, while it had been lost for a number of years I am the first owner. I'm looking to move it on since it seems a shame for it not to be played. It's a wonderful bass, the problem is I'm just using my MTD more. My reasons for selling are that I prefer a 35" scale on a 5 string and with my MTD and Pedulla both bearing Bartolini PUs they both cover similar ground. Anyhoo, I'd be looking in the £850ish region for it, though happy to entertain offers. That would include official hardcase + owners manual + truss rod adjusters etc. In a perfect world someone would trade me for a 5 string euro spector + cash to you, but I can dream Thanks! Ash
4. They are both lovely basses but the Americans are a world apart in every way. Top notch stuff.
5. Right! Restoning is evening out the frets so they're not groovy , just found out today Oh yes, and BUMP!
6. Should be fine, in fact Dan Andriano's had an absolutely shweeeeeet tone from using Marshall guitar heads on the two Alkaline Trio albums before their most recent, so go for it!
7.
"What's a restoning?"
Fair question. It was explained to me at the time but I'll call them up and find out! I'll try get hold of them today, failing that, won't be able to say until tuesday evening earliest - heading off for an interview in Keele tonight so need to focus on that! Cheers! Ash
8. Alot of these popped up ebay a few months ago, might be worth searching those listings for more info

10.
To be fair, I've not actually recorded drums with it yet as my kit lives at church most of the time. My plan was to record as midi. Next upgrade was to buy logic express as I believe it has a better set of drum samples to use. Although you can apparantly record as midi and then send the midi back to the kit and record using the line in f you want the sound off the drum module.

ah right electronic kit, i didn't read that very thoroughly! yeah you can do that i think, makes sense. or you could do a live recording with just the line out off the drum module i think.
Just an FYI for anyone wanting to record drums out there - recently picked up a set of Red5 drum mics (they have an outlet on evilbay and a website) and they are brilliant. Great way of doing it on a budget and for the price you pay you get a hell of alot of bang for your buck (4 snare/tom mics, one kick mic, 2 overheads, clips to attach mics to drums + flightcase for £157 ffs!). Even scarier they sound good too. I'll post samples at some point in the next few weeks Cheers, Ash
11.
Or the guy that said he loved Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails, but then it turns out he wanted a Motown vibe to everything.
That sounds awesome!
12.
Fortunately it wasn't for me, they were just disusing what to have for dinner!
Tackling the most important issues first eh
13. That's a purrdy little amp you got there , quite interesting too! Any chance of sound clips?
14. Reminds me of that wonderful moment in Spinal Tap!
15. Hey guys, Since I got my MTD my Pedulla has fallen by the wayside slightly, simply because the MTD can cover the same Bartolini tone and much more. As a result of this I've been thinking of dropping the Pedulla and getting a 5er with a bit more bite, like maybe a spector. After having a think though, I've thought it'll probably work out cheaper to put EMGs in the pedulla instead. Has anyone done this mod and is this a terrible idea? I love the ballsy tone of EMGs
16.
Those Aguilar DB810s weigh an absolute massive amount though.
Really? How do they compare with the Ampeg? Cos tbh from the little experience I have with them they weren't too difficult to move around. That said over 810s I've seen were horrendous.
17. Yup, lovely amps. Got the pleasure of hearing one of these through an Ampeg 810 at the Koko in London. Laaaaaaaverley. See these getting paired alot with the ampeg 810 come to think of it. Wondering if these bands'll make the switch when the orange 810 comes out?
