Go on Ash, open you wallet, you know it makes sense, its a beaut, I just want one with 5 strings on it now!!
I have the 5er equivalent. It aint' going anywhere is all I'm going to say, phenomenal instrument. Same finish as yours methinks . Despite literally shooting a load in my pants when this came up I really really really cannot afford/justify this considering I already have a euro 4 LX! To anyone reading though - these instruments are absolutely incredible. Competing (and winning half the time) with my American MTD. They are just so so good, especially with a set of 45-105s on em. £899 is a steal. And to you again, Cetera, you really have created a monster here. ... I thank you
 2. ...cannot...justify... DAMN YOU CETERA!
 3. Dunno... maybe too many negative TB connotations?
 4.
You'll never steal my Spector crown!! You hear me?!?! Never!!!! Bwa ha ha ha ha!!!!
Juuuuust you wait buddy boy Haha, my second Euro arrived today! Lovely bit of kit and I feel it was more than a bit of a steal since it's new and cost me under a grand . In serious need of new strings and a set up though! Pics later!
 5. Is quite a nice idea, but not entirely convinced they'll last a long time though tbh
 6. Gotta be Ellefson. That said, Lomenzo had the better hair.
 7.
Yeh, I'd give them a bell, mine arrived within 24 hours, mind you if there was a problem I'd assume they would contact you, worth the wait, v nice basses!
Well there was a small problem - it was marked slightly incorrectly so they called up to check it was ok. Went through on Monday though! Hmm... Definitely will call tomorrow and will update. Haha, free bumpage for you too!
 8.
No worries, it is beautiful but does what my Alembic 5 does (which is a good thing) so one of them has to go, mind you, I do turn over loads of gear, must be a short attention span thing! hows the spector?
Hasn't arrived yet! Which is odd considering the order went through on Sunday. Hmm. I'll give em a call tomorrow
 9. Not to your liking then? Sorry mate
 10. Can't get more perfect than a P bass + orange/ampeg really, gotta agree with the people here. A Stingray'd work too. Help us out, what's your price range here? The Ashdown might not be the issue, IIRC James LoMenzo of Megadeth fame used Ashdown and from the live footage I remember he always used to cut through and sound pretty good. Try some more EQ tweaking and shove a pedal in your line to get a bit more grind?
 11.
http://www.fodera.com/a_jackson.html A thing of beauty. I would, in a shot.
Bleugggh, not my thing at all. That said I do like the single cut emperors. Each to their own I guess
 12. That's a nice bit of wood you've got there
 13.
My partner cant complain, she's addicted to Farmville, 'nuff said!
Farmville's a goddamn time vampire.
 14.
These are original 80's US Spector NS2's... the black & white are Kramer made and sunburst is pre-Kramer. All have HazLab preamps...
That sunburst one is my dream spector! Got my first Spector from Cetera and it's absolutely incredible (bought his Euro LX zebrano), trumped my MTD at the moment, it's just amazing. I love these basses. Will post photos tomorrow night because hopefully by then I'll have another Euro in the house!
 15.
Way I see it, it's no worse than having an eastenders addiction! Bassists are generally nice people with good attitudes I find. I always get on with other bassists. Or maybe that's just basschat making me think I do I come here for the pictures
Yeah we're a nice little community. I think the small number helps it along . Also keeps the level of trust high for sales and the like . And to think I used to spend all my hours on TB... . I never got the whole club thing over there though...who cares?
 16. I got long periods of work where I'm having to wait for others so I'll always end up on here. That or playing Miami Shark. Damn I love that game. Anyhoo, I reckon I lurk far more than I post tbh... I'd love that 4th box under my avatar one day but i doubt that'll happen
 17.
Yes,quite a lot of people do place their thumb over the neck in the higher register. A lot of peoples thumbs also drag behind the rest of their hand. On a singlecut there is no need for this. You can keep a good hand position throughout the entire range of the instrument.
But is it a big enough issue to merit spending so much more on a single cut bass? Just correct bad technique yourself surely? Also I've seen some people with what's viewed as horrible technique do wonderful things and sound great. Different argument I guess though! Btw what's the bass in your avatar? It looks lovely! As for the original post I usually am not a fan, though there's a Sei roaming around here that I love. In fact I think it's in this thread! Really does depend on the bass
 18. Just bought a Pedulla Rapture off me. Top bloke, easy as pie transaction. Quick and hassle free, I couldn't have asked for more!
 19. Sorry, feeling quite slow today, so would that be £200 for the head then?
