1. What's the scale on these? 35"?
2. Heya, I have an electric drum kit that's a few years old. Made by Yamaha. Would that be of interest in a trade? I'll get some more info and pm you if you're interested? Thanks, ash
3.
Might they be called the "012 USA Standards" do we think, or will it be those Blacktops with weird pickup combinations and necks?
I really do think they're quite ugly. Especially that Precision with the two soapbar pickups. Yuk.
4.
More expensive 2012 standards.
Sadly, think you've just nailed it there... Not exactly expecting anything game changing. If they made that 5 string P bass with the MM lookalike (though it was two Jazz pups wasn't it?) in a 35" scale or just the standard P bass 5 string in a 35" scale I'd be all over that.
5. Just out of interest, what does that pick up combination sound like? I was always kind of drawn to the P + MM set up but was wondering how this compared?
6. Heya, Bass is withdrawn for the time being (see first post) Thanks! Ash
7. I used to have an Epi UL2 410 I believe, two of em. Great cabs! I'm sure this is of the same amazing standard
8. Used to own one exactly like this (different colour though!). Wonderful bass, whoever buys it is on to a winner
9. Hmm. Thanks for the replies so far guys . I think I might have to side by side it with one. In a perfect world I could do it with a BB750 but I've found an Aguilar DB750 near by which I've heard is reasonably similar, so might see if they're willing to do that .

11. Just responded to some PMs. I'll update the listing but not looking for any trades tbh. Only thing I'm hankering for is coming to a deal for a Mesa BB750 or Aguilar DB750. Thanks guys Ash
12. Hello! Been a while... life keeping me busy and all that. Still playing bass though . Good to see basschat's still going strong . Though on topic, seriously considering this at the moment... Don't know if I'm just looking back on things favourably but I feel I got a better tone out of my old Mesa Big Block 750 over my 400. Felt it did better with active basses and paired better with my basses as a whole. Also think I preferred the tone. The problem with this is it's all in retrospect. I'm so conflicted! Am I just suffering with a case of favourable retrospection or is there anything to this? I moved on the BB750 because I had to cart round a transformer with it (it was a USA model) and it was a hassle. It was nothing to do with how it sounded. I've noticed I've been digging the tone on hybrids more the past year anyways, particularly the hartkes. Is this absolute sacrilege?
13. First Bass Owned: Peavey International Series 4 string 'Go To' Bass: MTD 535 'Your' Bass: MTD 535. That thing is amazing!
14.
Bill Clements. Awesome! How many of us would just give up completely?
I'd like to think I wouldn't, but then again I hope I'm never in his situation so I'll have to find out! He's still an absolute inspiration!
15. awesome bass, you'll love it if you get it. Good luck! And really Muzz? Found mine to be quite a growly little thing

17.
Crank that up to 10 and it would probably blow me over! Loud as f*** rig bump

I have a new Ford Ka (smaaaaaallest) and I carry my Henry 8x8" without efforts. Any decent car out there can contain the beast Have a bump! And... great amp you have there!
Cheers guys it is insanely loud! Insanely loud through my 410 as well. Great bit of kit . This looks like it's heading to Birmingham unless anyone dives in! Thanks, Ash
18. used to own the soapbar version of this bass. Phenomenal instrument - just with an MTD in bound and preferring a 35" scale on the B I decided to let it go. In retrospect I think I regret it. Oh well. Amazing bass, got to play a similar one (in a different colour) out in the US. Great bass. Couldn't be unhappy if you bought this.
19. Bump for a great bass that needs a new home!
