The five-fifteen was really designed as a practice amp only and not for group rehearsals or live use. I used to have the Perfect Ten which was the previous version and had exactly the same trouble when playing with others! If you're looking at the same price area then perhaps try an Ashdown EB-150? That'd definitely do what you need!

Having had to do similar things with turntables, we had best results by first placing a paving slab on the stage, a block of insulation foam on top of that, and then tennisball halfs on the four corners of the cab where it makes contact.

The two models to consider are the Gibson Thunderbird IV, and then the Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV. The simple comparison on sound is the Gibson sounds like the Thunderbird, the Epiphone sounds like a more modern version.

I've just come across a 1981 4001 that's for sale. I've never much looked at them before but after playing this I really like it. I would just like some advice as to what kind of price is acceptable. As you can see from the picture below, it's had a bit of loving over the years. But the playing is fine and it works perfectly, so it's only aesthetic damage. It's from a store rather than private sale. What would be a good price? It has it's case I believe.

Touring bands will use a couple of condenser microphones fixed either side of the stage pointed into the audience in their IEM mix.

Would recommend Sennheiser CX-200 earphones. A little more at £20 but worth it. Very re-inforced at the plug end.
