1. I am selling my Markbass 1x15HR. I use it with my Little Mark II and a 4x10HF, but the gigs i'm doing now days doesn't warrant that size of rig. I am looking to move to a Markbass 1x15 combo eventually, so if anyone has a JB or a 151P they want to swap for the 1x15 and the 4x10 i'd be up for that. In the interim however, the 1x15 is up for grabs. I've had it from new, not used it much and its as good as new condition. It also has a roqsolid cover which i'm throwing in. Located in Nottingham, but can ship at a cost. Looking for £400. Ady.
2.
There is a good one in Derby on ebay too....
yea, spoke to that guy, its a nat one and he was a bit rude, not the sort of chap i'd like to business with.
3. I've always fancied a Thunderbird and are fourtunete enough to be able to afford a full on Gibson, and there's a good looking Black one on ebay right now. however, i have always been put off by the passive pick ups, and don't like the idea of defiling an original. I have noticed however, that some people are commenting on some new high power pick ups on Thunderbirds that out perform some actives, and today have seen the new epiphone pro with actives and through neck. Has anyone got any more info or experience they could share with me. My first bass is a Stingray/piezo so i know nothing can compete with that for sound, but i'm an old rocker who thinks a sexy bass might pull some groovey chicks, as my looks have gone and my wiastline is no longer rockcity shirt off eye candy!!!!! Ady.
4. Hello Chaps, I recently took delivery of a brand new 4 string Musicman with the built in Piezo bridge pick up. Dark metallic blue, rosewood fingerboard, colour matched painted headstock, looks a treat. More importantly it sounds fantastic. For solo work or certain band types, when played through my markbass gear, the sound is the best i have ever had. My problem is my main band require more of a rickenbacker type sound, so i am finding that i am increasingly blending out the Piezo entirley for that town called malice type noise that they want me to produce, as we are a covers band, i can see their point. I have another stingray without the piezo which gives me that sound already, so i am increasingly leaning towards that one. What this means is i have a £1350.00 beautifull bass that will become my spare, which is just a waste of my cash, and a fine instrument. If i stick it on ebay i wont get anywhere near that, so i was thinking, are there any stingray players out there who may be looking to upgarde and want a piezo model. Maybe i could take a stingray and £400 in exchange for mine? I thought best do it now whilst the bass is still under the warantee and is in as new condition. Thoughts anyone? Ady.
