  1. These are the ones I "manufactured". If they're any use, let me know.
  2. I had the same problem of not being able to get rack ears for a particular amp and bought 2 aluminium angle brackets from eBay. A bit of modifying and they worked a treat. Think I still have them, but not the amp, so will take a pic and if they'll do the job you can have them.
  3. It should have a prewired trimpot. It's not built into the main pre-amp but is a small square pot wired into the main block. Is it hidden under something?
  4. I'm surprised they came out with a 600w version when Guy has been using ABM900's. I do like the look but the price tag isn't moving me to ditch my EVO-IV for it.
  5. Details now up on the website. Just north of £1k. https://ashdownmusic.com/collections/heads/products/interstellar-600
  6. Didn't VAT legislation in the EU change on 1st May? That was when Thomann and a couple of companies I buy wine from in the EU started charging "all inclusive" prices.
  7. It states on their website that "all prices include 20% VAT unless otherwise stated", so there shouldn't be any other charges. Worth checking first though.
  8. There's a Klystron 1x15 for sale on eBay at the moment.
  9. Ashdown are the best in the business. 5yr warranty on their amps and they will repair anything they've ever made at really great prices. They now repair old Trace gear as well, which is a logical move. I was a long time Mark Bass user until a repair estimate north of £200 prompted me to look elsewhere.
  10. It's actually Real Electronics in Sheffield who are the authorised repairers. Here are their charges. £35 to diagnose the problem, which you get back if you go ahead. £69 fixed labour, £18 courier fee to send it back + parts + VAT. I am pretty sure they don't repair to component level so just "board swappers". As @lemmywinks has said, the repair cost is likely to be greater than buying a used head.
  11. The capacitor on tone control is a passive loom. It's actually a treble bleed. The Tone Monster is active so the treble pot is just part of the circuit. If the bass works ok, it could be a faulty preamp. Which model is it?
  12. He certainly makes some spectacular instruments.
  13. Well Alan, ACG, is well used to fitting them as 2 of my Luminlay basses are ACG's. 1 was a retrofit and I just detached the neck and sent it to him. Have a word with him. Sure he'd be delighted to do the Wal as well.
  14. I've got Luminay on 3 basses and never had a problem. @Andyjr1515 is spot on with the way they function and I've never had a problem getting through a set with them. I tried the Rothko and Frost ones but they were nowhere near as good as Luminlay. If you do decide to go that route, the UV charger they sell is worth buying or get some cheap ones from eBay.
  15. It won't be a bother for Ashdown, believe me. Best customer service in the business. Just give them a call and if you get Dave Green, he probably designed the RM, he will explain all.
  16. It's also up for sale on Gumtree @ £50. Anyone near it would be worth it for the cabinet alone. One of the drivers isn't a Neo, so assuming the Deltalite is the original it's around £125-150 for a new driver. It looks like this is the same cab sold by Richtone Music in Sheffield for £99, which is a bit odd as generally Richtone know the value of guitars/cabs/amps etc. I was interested in a Man+Van solution but with the cost of at least 1 new driver it's a bit steep.
  17. Saw him at Bass Day UK in Manchester in 2008. Some fantastic tales, particularly his time with James Brown. He was supposed to have been using a laptop for his session, which he wasn't over impressed with, but the day before he was at the Guitar Show in Birmingham with Swans in Flight, so he brought them to Manchester. After his session he wandered around the trade area and was so approachable and encouraging. Really sad about his dementia.
  18. They announced on social some time ago that they were repairing TE gear which kind of makes sense considering Mark Gooday worked at Trace before it was bought by Peavey. Just contact Ashdown Customer service and have a chat.
  19. Before my function band folded, we would always check what the successful bands were playing and use that as a guideline. One of the most successful function bands in the UK were The Beat Factor. They played all over Europe and at one time were the highest grossing pro function band. I think they have folded now, but I've attached the last setlist I have for them. Obviously the "latest" numbers would need refreshing but the rest are solid "function favourites". Only issue might be that they have both Male and Female vox. The Beat Factor.docx
