1. Bought a case from this fine fellow! Smooth deal and good price. Recommended!
2. Once did a trade with Colin for some Ashdown gear, told him he was undervaluing it and offered more money but he wouldn't take it. Top guy. RIP.
3. Thanks Phill - are the Studio spares ones good? They seem jolly cheap...?
4. Haha I am well aware that reading from anything is largely frowned upon but with a set list of 60 songs for a recently joined band to learn I've got no choice, my kebab-addled brain won't recall anything at all these days...
5. Can anyone recommend me a good one that will take an iPad in a case? I'm using a Tiger one now but it doesn't fit when the iPad is in a case and this seems a massive oversight given the likelihood of drunken numpties knocking it over. Any recommendations greatfully received!
6. Having been through a plethora of Amazon / eBay cheapies I am sick to the back teeth of these things falling apart. Any recommendations for a bomb proof mic stand? Thanks in advance, James

9. Used twice but I've lost the box! Great condition and fully working. £30 delivered to the mainland UK Cheers!
10. Any idea of weight? I hate to be 'that guy' but increasingly it's becoming important to me! Cheers, James
11. I have no advice other than to say 'good luck' and hope you find something that helps. As an occasional sufferer I know it's a real hassle
12. The SUB has a stupidly powerful preamp on board. There are some mods that are well documented - or rip it out and fit a stinger from Retrovibe!
13. Go old and heavy. I just grabbed an Ashdown 4x10 combo for £100 because no one wants the weighty gear any more. Have stuffed some BIG castors on it...boom (literally).
14. Yeah, I'm not sure it should be a target to play harder unless there's a particular reason. The majority of players whose playing I have admired in person actually have a very light touch and I often wish my style was lighter, so don't be in a rush to hit the thing!
15. Is there a local BC'er that might be happy to have a look? Where are you based?
16.
Believe it or not but you can buy a product called"sticky stuff remover" by a company called De-Solve-It. It works really well.
We use this at work and it's very good but by god use it in a ventilated area!
17.
High Excursion Fundamental Trouserflap
I wish to change my username to this.
18. That's what I meant - don't dive straight in and practise on something first but it's the only way you'll ever get good at it. I've done about 12 guitars with my Wudtone UTFL (unless my wife asks...) and the first took some extra work to finish off but I'm so happy with it now
19. Bought a couple of cheapo basses recently that I knew would need work. One is an OLP, wiring was junk so in goes the stinger preamp and loom but turns out the pickup is a SD 'Basslines', result. The other arrived, a VM Jazz and that one turns out to have USA Fender Pickups and loom - score. Both have had their issues sorted and play and sound great. Happy cheapo bass week So, have you ever bought a bass hiding a (good) secret? It's nice to be pleasantly surprised rather than discovering bad news the minute you open the box!
20.
well not a good night.the bloody dog jumped up and scratched the scratchplate and the dimarzios don't fit.time for a pint.do fender scratch plates fit?
I tried to fit one on mine and it was way off. Fixable with care but enough to be a headache I'm afraid.
