Careful, sunshine. I haven't bought anything but downloads for over 10 months now.
I forgot you were modern jazz
I agree with you about the 'pyramid selling' actually. I don't like the sell our stuff to your mates bit.
The rest of it sounds fun and a good idea though.
Original Idea.... not a fan but I'd like to try this
+1
Very clever. Makes the purchase fun. If you like the band it's a nice way to buy their stuff.
Rattlin Bone/Jetsonics/Dick Venom at the Barbican venue?
Or will that be too raucous for them?
Only one way to find out......
Sorry to hear that Jack Condolences to you and your family
Condolences from me and Sally too.
On a tangent.
I've realised our best performances at gigs are the ones when we've all had the hump about something beforehand.
Irritating promoter, annoying other band on the bill, etc.
I must find a way to slightly p*ss us all off before gigs now.
Strangely enough, I actually do exactly the opposite.
I play a note on the bass at random, and then wonder what note it was.
I thought you didn't dig jazz?
I am playing at the Epsom venue next Saturday, June 11th. My band is called Cow. Looking forward to it.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
I've just emailed Epsom as it's near our drummers manor and we could probably get a turn out.
Just found this and I'm knocked out, ace. Why were you lot not about when I lived nearby and went to all the Bees home games? More vids please and get up north for a gigs.
Thanks very much. Obviously your expectations on entertainment have been adjusted by Griffin Park though... We're off to Kentish Town next month. That's as North as we've managed so far.
We are planning to get out and about around the country in the coming months should all go well.
The video has been postponed until we record the new EP (recording day 12th June) as we'd rather do it for one of the new tracks.
I like this venue. Unfortunately As part of the T&C's we have to bring a handful through the door to play. As I don't know anyone local to the venue any support would be very welcome.
It's a Lady Godiva to get in.
I only started gigging again about 3 years ago.
When I was doing it first time around it was cheap speed a couple of Morrocan Woodbines and 4 or 5 pints plus a chaser or two. No wonder I never got anywhere.
Now it's soda water and lime (the biker in the pub drink I call it) with a single pint post gig normally. I've only done one gig slightly squiffy during my born again gigging career. It was awful and I played a stinker. Never again. I sometimes have one pre gig but I'm not fussed these days.
Retro thread.
Avon EB0 copy. £35 mail order from Rose Morris. About £34 over priced. Hideous unplayable dead sounding firewood.
Kids today don't know how lucky they are. We couldn't afford shoes. We used to boot polish our feet and tie laces on to them, etc.....
damn speeling
I use the DR Black Beauties. Love them. I tried a set of the Red ones and they weren't as nice. Felt very grabby and were dull sounding in comparison. May have been an off set?
Yep. Join the club.
We badly need some promoter/management help. Trouble is the ones we had on trial have been significantly worse than having no one at all and doing it ourselves.
