1. That's a beauty Steve - I've played andyonbass' ACG Recurve single cut and it was love at first twang. I wish I had the patience to wait for one to be built.
2. Had the very same rig myself once
3. Hey Dave, we played at Ighten Leigh in Burnley last weekend and I noticed you were on the list to play there soon. Strange place, hope you have a better night than we did.
4. Finally, two sadly missed members..
5. Sorry for the delay - had to send 'em to Photobucket again..
6. I've got a couple of tutorial DVDs I don't need - a Billy Sheehan one and a Flea one.
7. Animal - if not Simon Philips
8.
Oooooooh ooooooh! The Lakland DJ and the Precision + Wizard if you can manage both! Missed last years national and SE bashes. Nothing's gonna stop me this time!!!
Yeh, no worries Froilan.
Think i could hitch a ride homer? If i can/theres room/theres anyone interested im now in possesion of two warwick neo cabs! punchalicious!
You can have a ride with pleasure sir but as it looks like I'm taking 3 basses, there's not going to be much room for gear.
9.
I should be able to come. I'll bring the DJ4 with Fralins to compare with your DJ4 Al. I will also bring the Duck Dunn Dark Star. Stingray Status 5 with Nordstrand anyone? Any requests? The question is what amp. Should I bring the BFC?
It'll be interesting to compare the two DJs Dave - I must be honest and say I wasn't really enjoying the sound of the Aeros (with my GK rig) and was thinking of changing them but since I got my new rig it sounds absolutely tremendous. Must order those control plates.
10.
Would love to try the Bongo Al .
I'll bring it for you Matt
11. ...there's more
12. That day's clear for me and no gig on the saturday either so I'll be less bog-eyed and knackered than usual. Room for a few more in my motor if anyone needs a lift. Will bring any of the following if anyone's interested but otherwise I won't bother. Lakland Darryl Jones 4 Bongo 5 HS Precision with Wizard Thumper EBS Classic V1 Pre = QSC PLX2 3102 Epifani 212 NYC
13. I've had a go myself Nik, and if you're any good with a soldering iron (I'm hopeless) it's easy. To make sure I connected everything back correctly, I took a photograph for reference and didn't experience any problems.
14. A weekend of mixed emotions again - Friday was another ebay gig. First time we'd played since Xmas and it showed. The audience weren't into it at all and after carrying all the gear back downstairs I left the rest of the band with a clear message that if it doesn't get any better than that, I'm jacking in and selling up. Then last night, it was an absolute stormer - one of the best gigs we've ever had. The guitarist's new amp and my new rig sounded fantastic and, with the audience up for a good time, it inspired us to do one of the best performances we've ever done. Now I'm happy again and looking forward to next weekend.
15.
Wasn't it BassJamm who won the pudding eating competition?? I think Homer had the pictures?
Ah yes...still got all those pics...erm, let me see, was it this one? or maybe...this one where Jamie fell into the pud... Got some good ones of you too Dood....
16. Good move IMHO - just done it myself and I'm finally happy with my sound. I put a similar post up recently and the general concensus was you can't go wrong with a Yamaha or there's a Crown one for about £400 which is excellent for the money.
17. External measurements are 79.5 cms wide, 49.5cms deep and 59.0 cms high excluding castors.
18. Bloody southerners....you're all scared of coming up t'north where there's plenty of big strappin' women to carry yer gear an' beer's still only 4 bob a gallon
19. I bought one from the Gallery recently and must admit I was disappointed with the quality of it. I'll have to check when I get home if mine's a copy. Whatever it is, it isn't a patch on my Brooklyn Gear (comfort-type) strap.
20. About three quarters of an inch Steve.
21. Yeh - a dirty trick Chris, I'll get 'em to shift it now.
22. You are hairy...LIKE ANIMAL
23. Ahh...sensible - it's an Epifani 212NYC. Thanks Adee
