This thread has made me pull my finger out and put the electronics back in my cheap Dean Edge. I need a bass to leave down the rehearsal room, this on is the cheapest one I own so it's my project bass. But it's been unplayable for 2 years!

I'd love 2 Super 15s

I recommend The Wizard and N.I.B for Geezer's baselines.

I play in a punk-ish band and did a gig with a fretless. Sounded great, didn't use a plectrum either. If you want to do it then do it. Sod everyone who says not to.

I've had a set of DR Neons on my Stingray since January and they've still got a bit of brightness left. They must have over 100 hours of playing on them.
