I was always ripped off by venues in my 20s but these days it hasn't happened for a few years now. I'm no buisnessman but this one doesn't sit right with me & I think there is some good advice on written agreements here.

I've no first hand experience with the 100w model but I've tried the [u]200R[/u] which was great fun & I own the BA115 combo. For what it's worth I think Ampeg's entry level stuff is perfectly fine. Obviously the B100R has the retro stylings & if I were starting from scratch it'd be a serious contender

I would assume I don't vary lines but thinking about it, I guess I do. I practice lines a lot away from rehearsal playing along with recordings which helps.

There is no answer that fits all. It depends on if they are friends too (or maybe just some of them). I've had some messy band splits but a few yearrs down the line none of it really matters. I'm friends with most of my ex-band mates now. The phone call idea is ok but remember band member 1 may phone 3 and 4 whilst you are still on the phone to 2. You could email everyone together and then phone, that way you don't play favourites. You also need to decide if you are honouring any outstanding gigs etc. Good luck with whatever you decide

It's what puts me off Jazz basses. I used to get pain in my forearm from long term use of my old 75RI Jazz. I love the tone and look of Jazz basses but prefer a chunkier neck. I had wondered if the 60s RI had a thicker neck.

Double bass initially but with regular practice I'm better. However faster busier basslines will do it. Also the slimmer neck on my old 75ri Jazz used to make my forearm ache. I got rid of it

Stevie bought an Olp bass off me. Great comms, easy to deal with, decent guy. I hope you enjoy & I wouldn't hesitate to buy or sell with Stevie again

It just looks to me like the white one I had with a few bits of black tape put across it. Not that I find that wrong, just that's how it looks to me

Great effort, thanks for this. I found it really useful. A lot of tone from a little box! I think your style works well & fair play for using the same riffs rather than trying to show off. I go between finger style and plectrums but I always keep at the same length. I used to play down by my knees back when I was cool but these days it sits slightly lower than if I were sitting down. I'd have no issues changing mid set, you do what you have to do. Whatever works. You don't see many under £600 & it's usually £500 for a quick sale if you do. Assuming it's all in order you'd be crazy not to
