1.
fnar
By the time I'd tuned that, the bloody gig would be over!
2.
Does this have the "Steve Soar" pickups?
No, they are on the Custom, so I don't owe you any license fee Thanks for the info Tommy, good luck with yours!
3. Cheers Tim, very kind of you. To the chap who PM'd I was asking too much, the link below is to the last one that went on FEEBay, and that one didn't have an extra £50 tortie plate. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290802393654?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Cheers, Karl.
4. Tim is a top geezer, deal with absolute confidence. If you collect, beware the dog and cat, you may get licked to death
5. Brilliant WOT, well deserved, enjoy. To play bass on Local Hero with Mr. Mark would just be an ultimate dream for me. That geezer out of Auf? Preferred Big River
6. Ooops, wish I'd spotted this before I pm'd him yesterday Will leave it for a while before I pester him again. Karl.
7.
Is this the series with the jazz neck mate?si
Yes they are. Excellent basses. Bump.
8. This would go great with an Orange Bass Terror which is switchable between 4 and 8 ohms.
9. Fabulous bass. First saw one of these in the mid 90's in a band in Scotland, what a sound. They are almost getting to a price level I can afford. Good luck, great bass.
10.
If My Musicman Sterling Black Onyx sells (on Here) I will be all over this like a rash. I can just picture it with bright blue Led's. Pass the tissues.
Don't speak to this man Tom, he's very rude
11.
That really is a thing of beauty Karl. Am just about to list my L-2000 on here and eBay this eve, if it sells for a reasonable amount while this is still available I will be in touch. Best of luck with the sale in the meantime. Matt
Cheers Matt, good luck.
Oh mate, what a bummer! Don't we just love the HMRC!
Erm, not really
12. Staggering and humbling. I left college 36 years ago. Last night at The Bath in Morecambe, 8 of my school/college friends walked in . Not seen any of them for over 30 years. They had got together to come over from Darlington, Leeds, Garstang and Birmingham. Thank you Facebook, but more so, thank you my friends. Speechless for a while as I had no idea. Not a thank you to one of them in particular, who still looked 18 .
13. As title says, for sale, FSR Precision Deluxe. Got a bigger than expected VAT bill so two basses up for sale now. This is June 2012, as new, unmarked. Only thing is, will come with an Original Gig Bag Company gig bag, not the original Fender gig bag. Not as good as the Fender gig bag. Included in the sale is the original scratchplate and the brown tortie one it currently wears. In total this cost me just over £700. £500 delivered by insured courier. £470 collected from Wigan. Sorry UK only, no PAINPal, dispatched after cleared cheque or bank transfer. Bit about the specs Fender Precision Bass Special FSR - Sea Foam Metallic | GigGear Please remember it is active and jazz width at nut. Crap photos from phone, but it is unmarked. Cheers, Karl. FEEDBACK linked below photos. 14. Gary Thain, one of the very very best. Certainly one of the most melodic. The likes of Sunrise, Blind Eye, Sweet Freedom were just so influential on one particular aspiring young bass player. Pity he is now an aspiring old bass player and still can't play them properly!
15.
These any good for slap bass? I imagine this would play more like a gibson with that bridge design, or maybe an old style precision. Ben.
Sorry Ben, I can't answer that, I have never learnt or played slap style. Might be an idea to ask TommyK who is selling his. He may have tried slap on his? The bridge is better, IMO, than the 3 point Gibson ones. Bit like Warwick bridges? Cheers, Karl.
16. Thanks fellas, for all your help and advice. Andy Phillips is going to do a tracing of his for me, so hopefully I will be able to get sorted. Gigs are just not right for me without her (whadya mean pathetic )
17. Further PM's replied. Ryan and Martyn, both VERY tempting offers, thank you. Karl.
18. Thanks Big Stu. Looks like I'm going to have to try something like that. No response from the guy at his other business address either. My main gigging bass (you know, the one that fits your hand as soon as you pick it up) has been out of action for 3 weeks, God knows how much longer with my cacl handed tracing/cutting attempts. I could crush a bloody grape
19. Some of you people have no taste . BUY this man's bass Bump.
20. Thanks Gary. The wife has just rang me to tell me the cheque hasn't been cashed, which is something. The biggest blow is I can't use my bass until I figure out how to get a scratchplate, made from, rem, nothing really. Will try Yamaha UK, but it's a bit of an unfair ask on them. Cheers, Karl.
21. I have found out through Faecesbook that apparently the guy running this has jacked and the bike shop next door is taking over the shop. I sent my 17 year old Yam scratchplate to him 3 weeks ago, and have been trying to phone him for the last 3 days. The website is still running, although now the contact section isn't working. It was at the time. I will get the Mrs to find out today if my cheque has been cashed. If it has, I will be taking legal action for fraud. If it hasn't and I receive no reply by the 15th through the other company he seems to have had, I will be taking legal action to recover my scratchplate and all costs. I rarely swear, but this behaviour has left me severely pissed of. I have not been able to use my main gigging bass for 3 weeks and won't be able to until I can get my plate back. I had a problem with my last plate from them in June, but they sorted it out well enough in the end. I should have taken the hint. If I don't get it back I don't know what I can do, as the plate holds the rotaries in place .
22.
Thanks for the feedback folks. Maybe I should just go with the flow. Just out of interest I've done quite a few deals on here, both buying and selling, with only one unfortunate outcome. Would I buy from a seller sight unseen? Possibly. One of those sellers would be karlfer. Geoff
That's very humbling to see that Geoff. Now, please buy my FenderBird . Seriously though, very few are in DIRE need of a sale/trade. If we are honest with ourselves, it's a fair amount of GAS and instant gratification coming into play. If in doubt, don't go ahead, another deal is not far away and it may well be one you are happier with. Good luck. Karl.
23. Looks like a "careful with that sander eugene" to me.
24. Great price for a wonderful bass. Sign of the times this is still here. Good luck, Karl.
25. Brilliant Pete, well done. Nice playing, good track. Where's the emoticon for jealous . Congrats.
