1. I've always (bar one) bought all my stuff online. I don't particularly spend a lot anyway, and I'm one to agree that half an hour in a shop is enough to know if you'll be comfortable with the bass. I never keep basses for long and usually go for budget basses so I'm willing to take the risk. As a plus, I've never been very uncomfortable with a bass, i.e. I can pick up most and just play. It of course takes me a while to get fully "comfortable" with the bass, but never had a problem ever with initial feel. Maybe it's because I've never had a bass set-up/played a set up bass. *gets coat*.
2.
whilst it may seem better value to go for the spector, consider with vintage you are getting the whole bass for the money, whereas with the spector your paying for the bass and the brand
I agree, but I wonder how the B string is on the Vintage. I know it's very nice on the Spector, and the Ibanez SR506 I've also got my eye on is supposed to be quite a nice B string too.

ESP 6 String

Is this the B-206? Tempted it by it.
4. I'm really gassing for the V1005SP (spalted maple top 5 string): It looks so nice, but seems to be in most shops for around £429+, and considering I could get a Spector Legend 6 for around £489, I'm unsure whether or not to buy it over the Legend.
5. Another +1 from me A Wilhelm Scream. Mainly from the "Career Suicide" album. Brian Robinson writes some really interesting lines! Great tone, also!
6. Couple of shots I like Chris Aiken of Strung Out Brian Robinson of A Wilhelm Scream Sneaky one of me I like
7. How long have they been selling the Deluxe Jazz in 4 string version? I've had the 5 and loved it, and seem to recall a few past posts with people wishing for a 4 string version...
8.
...the insides of my left first finger and thumb were part shredded, presumably by poor workmanship on the frets/neck. Perhaps this one was just a dud, but I thought I'd mention it as it should never have gotten past QC.
I had a similar issue with the 5 string active version, wasn't a lot, nor did the frets feel rough or sticking, but there must have been something sticking out slightly as I ended up with small cuts all over the inside of my fingers, looked like paper cuts.
9. I wouldn't reccomend the 5 string Stingray copy from personal experience, try to get an OLP, one of the HH models if you can (MM32 is the 5 string).
10. I can vouch for the Spector Legend 5 (even though I've just sold mine). Great sound, great feel, dream to play. The tone really cuts through everything and the sound from the B string was lovely (I think in part due to the 35" scale). Try one out.
11. Another big +1 from me for Brian Robinson in A Wilhelm Scream, seen them live twice, spoke to him outside the venue both times, really nice guy, absolutely tight player. If you haven't got their album "Career Suicide", get it, they're awesome musicians, and listening to the bass throughout just wants to make me weep with shame. Really fitting fills, harmonising with the guitars or just off doing his solo in "Jaws 3, People 0" Yea, they're my favourite band!
12. My first bass was a 5 string Dynabass, I seem to recall spending £200 on it.
13. I'll give this a bump as I've still got it.
14. Congrats mate. Sold my all black one to NJE (on here), I miss it. May buy an all white one if I ever get the urge to have one again.
15. Hi mate! I've just sold the bass! Sorry! *SOLD*
16. No problem, I've just got it on hold for BC'er, if it falls through I'll let you know.
17.
Don't suppose you would be interested in a p/ex for £200 and a Boss TU-2? Zach
Hi Zach, thanks for the offer, but I'm just selling all my music gear on for now! Cheers, Karl
18.
Would you consider posting?

Im really tempted by this... would you consider posting? G
Theres a possibility I would post, it's just I'm not the biggest fan. I'm just currently talking to someone interested, but if it doesn't happen I'll definitely consider shipping.
For a month old, that is a superb price! I'm really starting to get to grips with the endless possibilities of the Dual Engine on the X3. I like running two seperate rigs, for clean, one dirty and send them out seperate channels for recording.
Cheers, dood! It was from your recommendation that I got one! I'm only selling on because I quite recently departed the band and I think my best intentions would be to start looking for a proper career. I still have my trusty piano!
19.
Hi mate, I have the original box for one of these - I could send you it? I could also arrange a courier? andy
If you'd like to do that, I'm happy to go that way.
20. Hi mate, I'm quite reluctant to send by courier, plus I don't have any boxes to put it in! One bad experience in the past has put me off I'm afraid.
21. Start of week bump, with a price drop to £200. Silly price!
22. For sale is my lovely little practise amp. Not much to say about it really, but it's a cracking little amp. 30w, 10" speaker. CD input and headphone sockets. Perfect for practising in the bedroom etc. Bought new last year, been used about 10 times, never used loud, and in great general condition. Asking for £50 collected, or will deliver around the NW for a bottle of Dr. Pepper. Cheers, Karl
23. I bought this new about a year ago just to dabble whenever I felt the need. Decent condition, but maybe could do with a little clean and a new set of strings. Other than that, it's in full working condition, no dodgy electrics etc. Nice for a little noodle every now and again. Including the South Park strap and a dust cover asking for £40 collected or will deliver around the NW for a bottle of coke. Cash on collection strongly preferred although happy to accept PayPal if you really want.
24. Here is a 5 month old Pod X3 Live fully boxed with PSU, manuals and USB lead. Theres a few multi-fx around but this is just amazing. Can be used on guitar, bass & vocals. Outstanding versatility, great sound. The tube simulations are really good, and you can get "grit" and overdrive without it sounding digital. Dual tone capabilities (two signal paths) so you can have a clean tone with an amp sim, and then another with loads of FX/distortion etc, and be able to control the volumes between the two. It's a great feature. This Pod is in great condition apart from one of the plastic strips with the pedal functions, which has come up on one corner when I caught it moving it around at a gig. Nothing a touch of glue won't sort out, and I've shown it in a picture. Looking for £220 collected, £230 posted or deliver around the NW for the same price. Cash on collection or bank transfer, will accept PayPal if you're willing to pay the fees . Cheers, Karl.
