1. Mark at Bass Direct is great. Superb customer services
 2. This thread has fairly grown arms and legs! Jesus!
 3. I've read this thread with interest since my BF cab is nearly done. But I don't understand the issue with the wheels/Handles? As far I can tell, they are parts will be used all the time... Kinda like wheels on a car, would you expect the manufacture to replace all your tires, even though you've driven and used them? No. So whats different about handles failing after use? You don't ever want to replace a car tire, never drive the thing. You want to make sure the handle and wheels dont die at all, dont move the cab. I mean - if the handle failed instantly, that would be totally different...
 4. What about getting an extender? Thats what I use. Drop D at the flip of a switch.
 5.
Thanks for the replies. Has anyone got any other recommendations for good quality patch leads without getting too pricey?
I tend to use Lava ones.
 6.
Mmm.. Not sure they do the 42 in black, could be wrong.
www.effectpowersupplies.com/t-rex-tonetrunk-42-gigbag-1376-p.asp Its this one.
 7. Oh should add, this is the black board. Not the weird whitey one.
 8. Hey folks, Since I've bought some new toys - I need a bigger board. It's very good condition as is the softcase. Looking for £85 firm + postage (about £7 ish) or a trade for a larger pedaltrain (2 or 3) Cheers! Dave
 9.
Never played it, sounds interesting though! Okay, my board [SNIP]
Kev - are you running the IE units into the B7k?
 10.
He is, he replied to me.
me too Huzzah - cab paid for now. So close!
 11.
And whyyy was the Subterrenea not in your purchase frenzy?! . I have a Iron Ether board challenger!! You should have bought my Nimbus, save you abit!
Your Nimbus for sale again?! Balls! I was waiting for your review of the SubT And I wasn't sure if the MarkBass Synth would be a good rival to it!
Oh, and dibs on the Frantabit and oxide of you ever sell them please!!
Oxides staying Frantabit for sure man!
 12.
I've been waiting since I started this thread, just emailed Alex to make sure he's still there!
Haha I did too. Was just worried there had been an issue with something... Alex - are you alive?!?
 13.
Me too! How long have you been waiting?
Start of May. Sooooo long ago! I need something to amuse me just now
 14.
Good spending! I'm a fan of the Polytope, very interesting pedal! I can't imagine I'd change the signal chain you've listed, like you say it's all subjective but that is a good place to start!
I'm looking forward to getting them. Just means my pedalboard is a little small now...
 15.
Clearly the economy IS picking up.
Aren't interest free credit cards great?
 16. Hey guys, Decided to go a bit (!) mental yesterday and buy some new stuff. Namely the Iron Ether stuff. I just bought the Polytope, Nimbus, Xerograph and Frantabit (and might get the SubT today). But where would these units normally sound best? I realize this is all subjective, but a little kick in the right direction wouldn't go a miss The rest of my setup is:- TC polytune mini Boss OC3 Boss LS2 Darkglass B7k Iron Ether Oxide MarkBass SuperSynth Was thinking of going something like:- Bass > Tuner > Octave >MarkBass > LS2 > Polytope > Xerograph > Nimbus > Frantabit > Amp LS2 switching between the Fuzz and Dirt. Thoughts? Think I might need a larger board... Trex board for sale anyone?
 17. My pinkie sticks out when I play with 3 fingers. Been slagged off at many gigs for my "Tea pinkie"! Glad it's not just me!
 18. This is getting me really excited. Keep checking my emails to see if Alex has contacted me!
 19. I wouldn't have thought so, and if it were to work I'd imagine the might cut out often/sound rubbish (under powered?) Thats why I bought the powerstation, 3000mA
 20. Already ordered. Prymax vintage or something. 130 delivered (so slightly cheaper than IE). I've an idea which needs the filter (and new markbass) Trying your advice shep and getting it sent to work....
 21. Ah in that case - I'd agree having an awesome psu for a single pedal maybe overkill. Maybe see how much a job lot of 9v batteries would be on ebay?
 22.
The Xerograph Deluxe is a great pedal However, if you are ordering direct from Iron Ether, do yourself a favour and don't look at any of the others, as you will do what i did and order 4 or 5 more! :
Hahah i know! Was so tempted to take a loan out! Just because I want a Xerograph...and Nimbus...and Frantabit...and SubT.... swear Taylor will bankrupt me!
 23.
The standard Xero is pretty much the cheapest option mate, even with the import taxes. It's still going to be under half the price of a Moog or a custom unit.
Balls! Might just need to bite the bullet then and order one - pray it sneaks through. Cheers bud.
 24. Are you planning on getting other pedals? I'd suggest upgrading to a decent supply if so. Not sure how much the Diago microstation is but, the powerstation (it's bigger brother) is great!
 25. Hey folks, I'm looking for a pedal which can allow me to do filter swells or low pass swells. I know the Xerograph can do this but the cost new (thanks customs/taxes) and time to arrive is making me look at other units. It needs to have a pretty small footprint (so the moog LPF is out!) and have an expression output. If it can be an envelope filter aswell as the low pass filter would be great (ala xerograph deluxe). Anyone have any suggestions on units which would be suitable. For an idea of sound - think the filtered bass part in City of Delusion by Muse (I think thats an FM4 but thats too large for my needs.) Thanks. Dave
