A bit of annoyance last night though a great gig . We were booked to play a little community pub which is a great, if intimate, venue. Catching the feed on FB shows it's going to be a well attended gig , well, considering it turned out to be a 50th party it was always going to be The doors were still open to anyone so it wasn't a private party as such, but it does feel like we've had our hats nailed on. still, we played our std pub set and didn't embellish it too much with party stuff , and it went down great with a recall for July , I don't know whose party that will be for

Yeah , it could be a squeeze getting all your kit in that littl car Take care on those steps !! i'll txt Chris for an update on the venue conditions , but the small estate roads by me are clear though the grass areas have a couple of inches on them , I'm about 10 miles away

The Whitby club Dunkirk lane Chester road Ellesmere port CH65 6QF for unloading , drive into the car park keeping the buildings on your left drive to the end of them , there is a small road that goes through some gates around the back, on the left, towards the back of the main hall. If you pull up at the end of the road the doors to the hall will be open , if it's not too cold đ

I didn't realise it wasn't on the top post !! Its only a tenner that pays for a large room ,a tray of butties and tea and coffee to order . It doesn't cover beer or meals ordered in the club bar next door. If Skol does a presentation it would be the entry fee on its own for contact you can PM either me or Funkgod and we will help out , I'll put the address and unloading parking thoughts when I get home

Our first gig for a few weeks last night, it went well right from the start , the sound check got a round of applause so we dived straight in . We blooded 3 new tunes all went down well, so a good night. A busy March for us as the next 4 weekends are all booked đ

The trick here is to pick the correct gear to be in and the appropriate speeds , that way when you get the revs right you can do the proper motorcycle karaoke

I use my singing skills as a cruel negotiating weapon . the lads in the band won't let me sing as they reckon it is totally stinky poo and don't mind telling me . So when I hear some of the notes coming from the singer's (rhythm-ish) guitar, I keep letting him know his technique is lacking , he generally gets the hump and swears blind he is doing his best. When he is at critical mass, I suggest that I bring a microphone to the next gig and 'do my best' he gets the message đ

Well mine is just about done now , I'm going to do my age old trick of hanging on just in case I find someone to put a vocal over it instead of me , but the track is done , and it will probably be posted the day before the end.......with me on it âšī¸

Unfortunately on advice it has been suggested that I do do spend the day out, it's not the weather that has beaten me . If anyone gets to offer a review of the Spector Bantam I would love to read it TIA

It's a lovely little thing Al and currently my gigging tool , I was hoping to go to LBGS tommorrow and sort out a Spector Bantam but I have been foiled , so bonus points if anyone can bring one along , actually , double bonus points
