  1. We occasionally roll out 'every rose has its thorn' (poison) This was covered by young miley , so that works well for those that ask
  2. Well yes , but do you not find it relics rather quickly when you pour the brandy on and set fire to it !
  3. What a brilliant start to a Saturday morning i normally have a quick listen through to get a feel then put a score to use to compare , this morning my 'scorecard' had no numbers it just lists .. awesome incredible beautiful how good is that fantastic playing superb. i am barely worthy this month , I honestly don't know how to seperate them
  4. After instigating a thread recently of a scientific nature , I learnt that the thing you speak of, is actually a hypothesis , not a theory
  5. I understand that a number of shows actually do have the words signed , but on a designated show on the tour/run . This allows a choice for those that require it . Demanding for 1 particular show because you want to make a point is a touch rich, would a printed lyric sheet not suffice ?
  6. Oh no , a tea boy with attitude Never mind the punctuation, you need to concentrate on the perforation
  7. Sorry, poor grammar,. 1 tea please sugar
  8. 1 sugar please
  9. What dad says , the voice of experience there I reckon 👍
  10. I think I might find that the bass I bought and claimed depreciation on was probably sold for scrap once totally valueless . What the Mrs would want with old bass like that I have no idea .
  11. I thought that was a standard thing , I've never looked or even thought to turn it off TBH
  12. May I offer up an adjoining wall, a dart board and some inconsistent speed of arithmetic . Absolute torture
  13. A month or two back !! It looks more like 4 decades back to me
  14. If you would like the full house , just check my entries in the monthly composition challenge then if you happen to actually like it you could vote for it , but if you thought my vocal contribution was not that brilliant , you could vote for it anyway
  15. I'm in then , I'm surprised @Dad3353 isnt in yet , maybe he is spending all his time building airplanes So with an inspiration of mushrooms what do you expect ......er .... Enjoy Just a quick note @Leonard Smalls the reference to you was actually for the soup
  16. 4 awful sounds for me bagpipes, recorder, a kazoo and sadly my own vocal tones I generally have to overcome my voice issues as I don't like putting on others to do the dirty deed in the composition challenge , but if given the opportunity I would have someone else sing instead of me. Ed having said that, as my lad did the vocal for my last one , I did ask him how my studio 'etiquette' was while directing and working with him , and he was happy with the process and enjoyed it. As he has done a bit of work in real studios , I took a bit of confidence from that
  17. I was looking for the right 'like' button for that comment , but I can't see a slow downward look whilst shaking the head
  18. I started from scratch with reaper , I probably still haven't got a defined 'workflow' and as a strict hobbyist , I feel the OP pain, there is no way I would be auditioning different DAW's to pick one, having gone through the DAW learning curve from scratch , even the language being used got me for a while
  19. Drifting somewhat , but all the mashing, brewing and conditioning is done in metal vessels when done commercially. If samples from the same brew were stored for a couple of months in a bottle and cans, then compared while drinking them from a glass , I don't reckon there would be any difference. I think I might have a look at this while I have a moment or two , drinking for science . To drag back on topic, just about , are vintage wines ,better, tastier etc , I doubt it , just that the investors in wine snobbery need to protect their investments . Snobbery , mines better than yours because I'm a snob
  20. Absolutely , similar with art , antiques , classic cars etc there comes an investment factor which relies on confidence , the old stuff will always be talked up by those with influence as they probably have a vested interest in the value of the things .
  21. 😂 many thanks Dad , and thanks to everyone who voted , I am really pleased that you all enjoyed it , we certainly did. the gang will be chuffed to bits with this Again a great selection to choose from so well done to everyone involved , have a great new year
  22. Can we get back on topic, which I believe was laundering fake fenders
  23. I'd like to thank you both for steaming over the thread(s) , you have really stepped up to the crease
