1. Yes... Your CV P looks nice with the covers btw.
2. The new Squiers would make great replica project basses... I'd fit some 70's style machines, covers ect.
3. I can't read notation and I struggle with tabs... I can have the chords to the bars written down.. Dm/Bb/A/A/ ect... fine for jazz and stuff... I would like to be able to sightread though.
4. I was all set to swap out the pups on my MiM P until I did a few gigs with it. I really like the sound of them.
5. Hmm... should it have a bullet truss?
6. Yes... It would be even yummier with a tort guard and covers.
7. Yay... can't wait for mine to come back from the menders... pesky kids... grrr.

YES

Absolutely loved the 'Yes Album' and then Wakeman arrived and it all got a bit messy. Always been a Bruford fan since though.
9. Simply does it... just learn the songs so you can play them backwards if needs be.
10. That Tokai looks superb... real mojo. Jazz basses make great frelesses. I had the frets stoned to the tangs on mine and fitted a J-Retro. Had severe gas for a Squier VM fretless as a passive backup. The Vintage Jaco look intriguing though.
11. I would look around for a used Fender J or P... other than that a Squier CV J or P.
12. Very lovely!
13. Piccys of the whole please.
14. Glad you're happy with it John... they do have their quirks but if it plays, feels and sounds nice then hang on to it. Dave... I've seen worse... looks very tasty.
15. Looks okay to me!
16. Hope it went okay... I had to learn about 20+ for last years NYE as I was depping, I had three weeks though... I used a stand. Heh. Tiger balm's great... just don't get any on yer old man!
17. Bury them in the garden for a week or so.
18. heh... My P was a perfect match for our drummers kit. Green!
19. Piccy please!

21. Sounds like you made the right choice... piccy?
22. Soz... me no likey... looks like a coffee table with a neck.
23. Ohh... pity my Ashdown is broke.
24. Yes, the hardware on these is nice, I especially like the big backed 70's style machines.
25. Hmm... I've a lovely Silver Series P bass, I don't get to play it much now my son has 'borrowed' it... There's a nice looking SQ P on the bay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SQUIER-SQ-P-BASS-JV-...N-/300475774803
