    Pre amp

If you're using the Multi-FX to achieve different sounds, as in different amp & cab models, you can run the Output of your Multi-FX to the Effects Return in your amp. You'll simply be bypassing the amp's own pre-amp section, and going straight into the power amp.

  3. It'll be interesting to hear/see some more bass demo's.
  4. That's the thing, all the guitar amps have different colours signifying which amp it is, and they don't seem to vary from that. The Thunder Bass however, has at least 3 colour variations for the same amp. Silver with 2 different print colours, and the black chassis version (the one I've got). Just wondered.
  5. Got it from Sounds Great on Reverb. They used to have a shop in Wilmslow, but it shut down last year IIRC. They're selling off old stock on Reverb, and that was the last one, and was cheaper than anywhere else. GAK do them for £75, think Bax have them for about the same. Everywhere else, you're looking at around £85.
  6. Had a bit more of a play with it the other day, managed to get the EQ just right to my ears (though no doubt, I'll keep on tweaking). Sounds great through headphones, might hook it up to a cab sometime just to see how it sounds. Anyone know about the colour iterations of these? Seen loads of pics of them in different colours, silver with blue print, silver with green print, black with different coloured print etc.
  7. In fact after posting on here about them, I had a look on t'net for one. Arrived earlier this week, and what a great sounding bit of kit it is. Only used it with headphones so far, but it sounds great to my ears. It'll be interesting to plug it into a cab at some point.

  9. OK, so I succumbed to GAS after hearing other folk on here going on about the Thunder Bass. Only managed a quick muck around with it through headphones, but very happy with it, wee tone monster, and it'll be easier to plug in than unpacking the HD500x and getting that set up. Need to play with the EQ a bit more to find "the sound", but it shouldn't take too long.

  11. Don't stand so close to your amp?
  12. Depends on what you're after really, price or whatever. eBay is a good place to start, then compare prices with sites like Stringsdirect, Bassdirect, & various other name retailers.
  13. Hope none of the above are mandatory...
  14. Didn't those early 2000's MIM Jazz have the US made pickups in them? GLWTS.

  16. I think it does depend on the genre & age of the fans. Certainly, some of the more "niche" genre fans are more comfortable dealing with the band directly, as then they know that 100% of the sale is going direct to the band and not an intermediary. Stuff like merchandise, t-shirts etc. are more likely to be sold directly than via a third party. There again, these days, I would expect that a lot of people would also expect to deal with sales via Bandcamp / Spotify / iTunes etc. for music sales. IIRC, there is a part of Bandcamp where you can set up a merchandise page/link (need to remind myself of all that side of things).
  17. The bands website / Facebook page, Bandcamp, etc. Yes, from a band point of view, selling direct is quite time consuming, however, it is well worth taking a bit of time to do.
