1. Selling this fine example of the Ibanez SRF700 fretless bass, excellent condition, still has the covers on the pickups. Only purchased it at the end of October. The SRF700 is listed as the nearest you can get to a Double Bass in an electronic fretless bass. This is due to the Piezo based Aero Silk system. There is a great review of the SRF700 here with a detailed review of the tone shaping possibilities of the Piezo pickups under the bridge and the Bartolini active pickups. The neck is unlined on the face, which really looks great, but there are lines on the top edge to help aid navigation, there are 30 frets, which I understand matches the number of frets on a typical double bass. The tone shaping is aided by the fact that you can set the level of the Piezo's separately for each string on the back of the bass, on the front of the bass there is pickup selection, tone and volume for the Bartolini pickups and volume and treble controls for the Piezo's. This is the best video of have found on youtube of the Portamento bass, more playing and less talking! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9iGvtzBrVM The bass is in showroom condition, like new, had no more than 30 minutes worth of playing time from me at most, only selling as I am not playing as much as I used to, life is keeping me away from playing and I want to reduce the number of basses I have to reflect this. [s]Looking for £475 delivered, bass will be very well packaged.[/s] Looking for £425 delivered, bass will be very well packaged.
2. Tim, has purchased TC Electronic BH500 head, paid promptly and was quick to let me know that the head arrived safely. Deal with Tim in confidence, a good guy
3. Ade purchased my BC212 cab, he was very quick to pay, very quick and prompt with comms too. Top guy, very easy to deal with. Cheers
4. Was just about to post the same, good deal. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000UZ0ODS/ref=gb1h_img_c-3_3427_57c24234?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_r=1TKD26MZ2XAXF3NP19TX&pf_rd_i=161428031&pf_rd_p=559703427
5.
Now, if I thought my GF would not notice the difference between this and my VM Jazz, I would probably go for it...also she is very good at spotting stuff like that. Grrrr. nice bass though.
I know how that feels, "no, had it ages" doesn't work anymore
6. I bought a Harley Benton Rickenfaker a couple of months back, so pleased with that bass that I decided to order their copy of the Thunderbird. This bass is really is well finished as everybody else has found its difficult to see that the basses can be made at this price point. I am only selling this bass because the neck is slightly larger than I like, Ibanez SR necks usually, and as a result it is not getting played as much as it should. The bass comes complete with a Thunderbird shaped gigbag, I bought this at the same time as buying the bass. All in including delivery this bass cost me £138 delivered, considering the bass is as new and comes with the gigbag. [s]I am looking for £110 delivered.[/s] I am looking for £99 delivered.
7. I got this in a trade with tom1946, his original for sale thread with amazing pictures of the bass is here: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2579580 As with all the basses I have purchased from Tom, this bass is in excellent condition, and very well setup with a nice low action. I am selling this because try as I might I cannot get on with the precision dimensions of the neck, coming from an Ibanez SR500 which has an extremely thin neck. I want to get on with it because of how it looks and sounds, but it is not getting played. Whilst owning the bass, I bought the Vintage Fender bridge cover and pickup cover to go on it which are currently installed and included in price. [s]I am looking for £200 delivered including the covers or £185 delivered without.[/s] I am looking for £190 delivered including the covers or £175 delivered without. 8. I was also born in 75, big 4 0 next year too. I hadn't considered a YOB Bass, will follow the thread with interest.
9. Selling the B3 that I bought a month or so back, its like new, only used at home and by hand, no hobnail boots in sight. The bass comes complete with all original packaging and paperwork, paperwork and disc are still unopened in sealed bag. Includes the original Zoom PSU and a Generic un-opened PSU with interchangeable connectors. Only selling this because after the initial excitement I am only really using this as a tuner/headphone practice unit. Again I realise that I don't really do effects. [s]Price is £100 delivered.[/s] Price is £90 Delivered.
10. Did a part exchange with Tom and as usual the transaction went without a hitch, the packaging, as always was spot on, almost bombproof. Always ready to deal with Tom.
11. Ordep bought my Markbass combo, very good experience through out, good comms, quick to pay and to let me know that the combo had arrived safely. Happy to deal with Ordep again.
12. Selling a new BC212 cab, unused still in box. Only selling this because the set-up without this is more than loud enough for me as it is and I need to try and maximise space in the man-cave. Its a 250w at 8ohms and is approx. 20kg in weight and 46.2 cm x 6.2 cm x 38 cm in size and looks like this Price is £199 delivered for a brand new cab.
13. I have a like new Markbass combo for sale, bought it for a venture that is not going to get off the ground now and without a headphone out it is too loud for use at home. All my practicing is done through my Zoom B3. Its really loud for its size and with the possibility of adding an extension cab its only going to get louder. The combo has never left the house, its unmarked with all packaging and paperwork, like new, used it for no more than 30 minutes, most. Putting this up at work, will add pictures tonight when I get home. Until then take this 'library' picture as reference. Mine is just like it. Thanks
14. Just completed a very easy trade with Marco, an EU two pin PSU for a UK PSU. No problems at all, Marco was quick to dispatch and the PSU arrived promptly and in good working order, he was also quick to let me know that my PSU had arrived with him. Thanks
15. Gear4Music are great with returns, if you buy it and don't like it you can return for a full refund, including delivery charges
16. Thanks thunderbird, the black in the burst works really well against black pick guard and black blocks. Nice contrast against the maple fingerboard. Btw if prospective buyers don't want the gig bag I can knock £20 off the price
