1. [sub]I think I was looking at the wrong issue... [/sub]
2. Two slightly distorted bumps.

4. This would probably do better in the For Sale section...
5. Agreed, great tone. AFAIK the first album was recorded with an Ibanez Expressionist bass - similar to this one: http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Store-Used-USED-IBANEZ-TR-EXPRESSIONIST-BASS-TR500-SUNBURST-107796401-i2539576.gc I think the G & Ls came along later. Wish I knew what distortion pedal he used though!
6.
In fairness, the October issue is the best for a ages (I think)...except for the glaring spelling error on the cover .
Ok, I give up - where is the spelling error?
7.
Seems to me there would also be a reasonable market for a slab bodied P-bass a la John Entwistle - given Fenders propensity for coming up with all manner of permutations of things - this surely has to be high up there ? Maybe it will remain an expensive Custom Shop option for the well heeled amongst us.
I've been saying this for years. I bet they would just throw on a standard P pickup though.
8.
My apologies, not intending to disinterest anybody here, mines in need of refurbishment anyway, just thought I'd mention it... Richey
Seriously? Hijacking someone's thread with your own sale? Very bad form.
9. A 'make me an offer'-style bump.
10. It sounds like Deacy's original bassline to me!
11.
Well I was given the option of getting a replacement or getting some freebies. I'm willing to take the chance on the amp, I'm sure it's just cosmetic and the warranty will still be in place. So I have got an Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff on the way for £0
Great! Not sure you will have much need for a Muff with that head though...
12. I saw a picture of this on Talkbass a few months back, in what appeared to be a prototype stage. I thought it was a wind-up.
13. Bump
14. Well done mate, look forward to seeing it! I've never heard of Loaded TV though, hope it's not some Sky channel I can't get... Ansd it's always nice when a 'name' player turns out to be a top bloke, Bruce sounds quite humble and approachable by all accounts.
15.
It was a great mag. I miss it. I wrote a long and turgid article about my Hamer 12-string bass for the 'my bass is...' feature. I got some bass strings for submitting it. Not a 12-string set, sadly, but what the hey... I managed to have a few nice conversations with Roger Newell who wrote for the mag.
I've always wondered it that was your bass!
16. Sounds to me like he hasn't got a clue how this new night will turn out, isn't prepared to promote it adequately, and expects your band to be the fall guys. I wouldn't do it unless we agreed a fee beforehand.
17. Best. Neck. Ever.
18. I couldn't see the prices for the finished cabs...
19. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time, specifically with silent films. Just never had the time to get it off the ground. I saw The Kronos Quartet playing Glass' soundtrack to Dracula, but it didn't really work as the print of the film they used was in a bit of a state, the dialogue was very muffled.
20. I used to have loads of these, but kindly lent them to a 'mate' who was starting to teach himself bass, who moved flat and threw them all out. I still have the first copy I ever bought, with Entwistle on the cover - Nov '95 I think it was. It's amusing to look in the for sale ads at the back, old Rickenbackers and Gibsons going for £400.
21. I've never heard of Chris Aiken, I assumed we would be discussing another Pete Wentz. I was wrong.
22. The Tony Curtis connection never fails to amuse me. Seems he was a bit of a fan of rock fan back in the day - I watched a film about Bowie the other day and he was on there as well, turning up at the Hammersmith Odeon to see the Ziggy Stardust concert.
23. Well, they managed to gloss over The Move and ELO in about five minutes... Looking forward to the concert.
24. I wish Squier would do a 5 string P!
