Just another example of the general lack of respect given to working musicians. I would have insisted on sticking to the original agreement as well, regardless of the small audience - but if your band disagrees there's not much you can do. Definitely one to politely 'discuss' with the Landlady.

Go back with £800 cash. I reckon they would quickly change their tune!

Help.. [/quote] The Epiphone EB3 won't be quite right as it's long scale. The bridge pickup - which is the root of the Andy Fraser tone - sounds too tight and burpy on a long scale bass. Short scale retains a lot more woomph for want of a better word. I speak from experience!

Particularly Hardwired - the drums are far too upfront. But I am looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

While the shape would easily allow you to re-shape it into something more acceptable, they don't pop up very often so it would seem a bit of a shame to do so. What were you thinking of doing, removing the pincers?

I'm guessing that's a Slab 66? Obviously without the slab body I'm intrigued to hear it as well as my theory is the maple-capped neck plays a big part in the tone. Interesting to hear the difference a rosewood 'board would make. I nearly put in an order for a slab myself but it was right at the time Gareth decided to revert to standard one-piece necks. I'm also yet to hear a really decent demo.

Entwistle. EntWISTLE. I've heard nothing but good things about the Bass Collection,erm... collection, but the whole JE signature/tribute bass thing is a bit tasteless IMHO. It looks a bit like a bass he used to play but that's about it.

I've got it's younger, more humble sibling. The one with the single output and normal fretboard. It's the most aggressive P bass I've ever played. And wonderfully, dialling in the woofer just adds major lows without changing the inherent Precision growl. No frequency cancellation like a Jazz. How it does this I don't know but it's a wonderful bass. And it looks cool as hell.
