1. Two 2x10s, every time. Simply because I stack them vertically which lets me hear them far better - a 4x10 hits the back of my knees.
2.
As far as I know there is no tribute to the Rolling Stones in Dartford
We happen to be very proud of Lord Sir Jagger of Dartford I'll have you know...
3. No idea but bear in mind Rex only played his Charvel bass up to Cowboys. VDOP was a Stingray 5 I believe and from then on, Spectors. I honestly don't think the preamp is vitally important to the sound - I mean, Rex's tone is completely different to Ellefson's. What bass do you intend to put it in?
4. We don't do any slow songs. We do some 'slower' songs, but certainly nothing 'romantic'. Perhaps we should.
5. Not Darkstars though are they?
6. I am now the very happy owner of Dan's pimped EHX Bass Soul Food, with special knobs! Great chap to deal with, as before, excellent comms and swift delivery. Bravo!
7. Sold my Mooer Bass Sweeper to Thunderbird a few weeks ago (Bit slow with the old feedback). Great chap to deal with, as ever. Now with a little extra funk.
8. Magnificent basses.
9. 9/10. I got the question about Bring Me The Horizon wrong, a band I've never heard, and will therefore refuse to acknowledge as real metal.
10. A bump for this amazing bass. I've had the pleasure of trying it out and it's an absolute tone monster, and in stunning condition for it's age.
11. It looks like a small bit of the scratchplate has come off... Cool looking bass though - Very John Wetton!
12. Glorious little basses. I have one and I love it. Bargain!
13. This reminds me of a time we were setting up before a gig. Of course there was the inevitable piercing shriek of feedback at some point, to which we all jump and instinctively cover our ears - all except our singer who watched us bewildered. He genuinely didn't hear a thing. The perils of not wearing earplugs at rehearsals, kids!
14.
I can hear the high pitch cat scarers that some people put across their gardens , I don't know what frequency or volume it is , but considering most of the people who put them there can't hear them I was pretty pleased with that !!
Me too. Of course my Dad refuses to believe me as they are supposedly beyond human hearing! I can also comfortably hear the doggie tone at the end of Sgt Pepper. I just took the test - 17,181. I'm 34.
15.

A left handed Rick?!
16. Looks like the old Fender Bass V body.
17. I wish he'd grow his moustache back.
18. Cort make wonderful basses. The Rithimic 4 I played at the LBGS a couple of years ago was remarkably good. Didn't know they'd made a fiver! Very lovely it is too!
19. Tempting - and local! What's the scale length of these?
20. I saw them at ATP a few years ago - the one curated by Melvins and Mike Patton. It was the first time I'd heard them. An amazing experience. I find I have to be in the right mood to listen to them though. Sometimes they do little for me, at other times it's like listening to Planets mating.
21.
Just a quick thought....Anyone using preamp/eq pedals to get their tone and using their amp pretty much purely to amplify?
I do! Tech 21 Leeds straight into the back of whatever amp there is. I really love the sound of the Leeds pedal so I figured it made sense to bypass the amps's preamp stage. Satisfaction.
