Shouldn't you ask a Mod ... no, wait ...

I'm not a mod .
I like both, different instruments with different sounds but either would work for me in a band as they are.
I want to put an MM style humbucker on one of my basses but cannot decide which. Should I do it on my Precision or Corvette?!
I know the position is not going to be the same as a Stingray unless I do it on the corvette which also has the EQ already there.
Does anyone have any experience of a P/MM setup?
I think the Corvette will be the right choice but I just want to see what others think.
Since my son was born my band split up (not linked) and I don't have the time or inclination to gig for a while.
I have made sure not to sell what I don't 'need' now as I may in a year or 2.
I paid £999 for my Lakland but wouldn't sell for under £750. They go for that too which is high considering their retail price.
The D Lakins are only just over £1k for a Jazz and less for a Precision.
Which is very much in line with Lakland Skylines.
I wish people would realise that staggering the ferrules does not change scale length. This is determined only by the distance between the bridge saddle and nut. The actual achievement is lowering the angle between the saddle and ferrule minimising the stress on the winding of the string making it less likely to break.
I play all of my basses within a few minutes of each other every few weeks just to remind myself that I have an amazing collection and to tell myself how I need nothing else.
Except a Thumb 5 and a Stingray.
Yeah i'm going with this too. My Korean one really feels the same as a German and there is no visual difference. I think the best value instruments in the world are coming from Korea and Indonesia at the moment.
