Sounds like another GAS victim to me :brow:. Are you happy with the Zephyr ? If not why not ? The Squier VM Jazz is a good bass, a decent alternative to a MIM Jazz I believe, whether it's a positive or just a side stepping move I can't tell you.

My Dad has a Gould 335 copy which is very nice - looks like a bargain.

You bought it at MusicLive ? I probably played it first . And yeah - fantastic piece of kit, if they did a 5 string of this i'd seriously consider it.

Your ABM500 combo will only be operating at apx. 300w without an additional cab. Adding an extension cab unlocks the full potential of the head. The 4x10 or 1x15 (effectively a cab but built into the combo) will be 8ohm. Adding another 8ohm cab will give you the 575w @ 4ohm advertised. The only way you could get the full whack out of the existing combo is by changing the speakers inside. It is a bit confusing but you'll get used to it .

Nice one - i'm beginning to GAS for a Precision-type bass and this looks great value.

I really like the new neck through BTBs, but the price has gone up significantly (they're about £600). The attraction of them before was the fact they were so cheap and good value.. I expect these ones are fantastic too but at that price they won't shift as many.

I emailed him saying how ridiculous a price it was back in October, he said I didn't know what I was talking about...

Never owned one but have played a fair few of them. Build quality is fantastic and they're also well designed. If it's a good price then go for it - I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about them ever.

I invested in a Warwick Infinity (Mousemat) from them, it took a week to come.. though I suppose it was hardly critical equipment.

So... assuming the average string is 100cm long (bridge to machinehead including wraps), and the average bass has 4 strings... then there is a collective ~5.3km (3.3 Miles) of strings between us, it'll be even more if you take into account ERBs and double basses..
