1. I bought the bass about 6 years ago, I could not possibly know the entire history of the bass but yes, I'm pretty much sure the color is original. Thanks, A+
 2.
I'd like to offer £795
euuhh... no thanx, it will have to be a better offer! Andy
 3.
Back in the days of bassworld I was selling a MIM Jazz, newish with case, strap, straplocks, new strings, extra strings etc and posted was I believed was a fair and honest price. Before I knew it, forumites were flashing up posts knocking the price all over the place. It got a bit heated as I requested such comments to be PM'ed and we could discuss their concerns. Instead they chose to publically berate my selling methods. The bass sold a few days later for the asking price and the buyer was very happy with his package. Those knocking the price were not even in the market for a MIM Jazz so it was pretty much a waste of effort on their part. Makes me wonder who many of the price knockers on here are actually in the market for a 4001? I can only presume 'none' as they would have PM'ed the seller to negotiate a deal. Personally, Ricks are not my bag although I can appreciate their beauty and unique tonal qualities. Is this one overpriced? Possible, maybe not. What I won't do, however, is trample all over this thread spouting my 'valued' opinion. Good luck with the sale Andy, and welcome to Basschat.
thank you very much! while I sure appreciate everyone's opinion ,if we post something for sale on a public forum we have to face the "valued" opinion of all sorts of people, price knockers included. Maybe it is overpriced, maybe not, so far I've had very few PM cpncerning my bass. I insist: the price is negociable and I am ready to listen to offers. Thank you very much once again. Andy
 4. Well thank you very much for the support! if someone is REALLY interested the price is negotiable OF COURSE. Andy
 5. Thank you very much I'll sure do. Andy
 6.
Another 'For Sale' post with no introductions... Where's the love? This is a Forum, not 'Loot'
http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=12201

 8. Hello everyone! Well I know this is a long shot but here it goes anyway: We're a rock band based in PARIS,FRANCE and we're looking for a bass player. We have an album out since 2005 and we made a Tour in Asia Last summer (Thailand, Malaysia and Singapour) we are writing our next album that will be recorded in Toronto,Canada in April and we have an European Tour alrealy lined up for May-June (Germany,Netherlands, sweden etc etc) . we are going back to Asia in September to play in China and Japan this time, and with good chances of going back to Thailand! I'd say we play alternative rock, that sounds very "post rock" sometimes, eventought we could not be tagged as a post rock band. We like My Bloody Valentine,Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, interpol,Ride,The Pixies, etc etc. Please go and hear our stuff here: http://www.myspace.com/utopiummusic I know this is like a BIG CLICHE but there is some label interest in Europe and Canada , we really want to find a creative Bass player in his mid 20's or early 30's, very creative and original. just for the record, even if we are BASED in Paris, half of the band is not french so we are NICE PEOPLE!! please PM me in you are interested or you want to hear more. Thank you very much in advance, Andy

The color is FIREGLO or AMBERFIREGLO, here are the pics: The price is 1500 quid. I am Located in Paris France, but I can ship it to the UK or maybe eventually take the Eurostar and show it around London. please PM me if you are interested or if you have any further questions. I have ebay Feedback so you can verify I'm a serious person. Thank you very much in advance! Andy.
