1. If it's had a bad mishap then £275 is acceptable if it's been well repaired. I bought a 1980 MC900 for £250, cleaned it up and was offered a straight swap for a Musicman Stingray (worth £600), needless to say I accepted .
2. Hmm I doubt any would have a diagram for one of those i'm afraid. I'm sure a local tech would be able to work it out for you quite easily .
3. PM sent.
4. I had one for review from Ashdown with a faulty switch, they replaced it sharpish but i've heard of more than just me with the same issue. I'd send them an email.
5. What style bass is it ? It's probably a fairly generic setup if it's a Precision or Jazz copy.
6. Yeah it has to be that Euro LX5, i've seen it 3 times in my life in different cities and each time owned by a different person !
7. They're about £550-£600 new I think ? If so then about £300 would seem a reasonable price to me. I'd pay that for one .
8. I think Musicman dropped the build a bass when they revamped their site.

RIP R,5,R,5...

Nice one for digging those out CK, the latter one being familiar to me.
10. Dream Theater always baffles me. I can play bits but no complete song.. Instrumedley is my goal in life: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y4WRT8W2dI
11. Haha only kidding. I'm not going to have the cash .
12. Oh yeah MB1, don't think about nabbing this one I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE TOO !!!!!!!!
13. Most of my basses have been acquired through trades, I think it's a much more efficient and a cheaper way of getting stuff. I've paid out literally nothing since I bought an Ibanez Musician MC900 for £250, since then i've had a Musicman Stingray, Lakland 55-02 and now the Corvette. All have these have been from trades from that original Ibanez. That said - if no-one buys a new bass, there will be llittle supply for those looking in the 2nd hand market.
14. Whoa ! You can't do that to me ! Especially when you live a mile away ! Do you accept Subway vouchers ?!
15. I think if you've got any basses just sat in a stand or case doing nothing, then you might as well sell it. I play all of my basses at least once a week, if I went weeks or months without even touching it then why have it ?
16. I was going to measure mine (action not anything rude !) then realised I don't have a ruler.
17. A tiny part of me (no, not that part !) thinks some of the reviewers are checking out these posh basses for their own interests, but then again i've always suspected the worst in people ! It may be partially down to a lack of co-operation from main dealers but the boutique ones being much more helpful.. maybe Stuart / Mike can enlighten us ?

I remember him at the aforementioned bass bash, we must have had a natter at some point i'm sure. Really sad news.

Wow that's gorgeous ! Have a bump on me .
20. Just mocked this up in Paintshop... Fairly basic but gives an idea of potentials, oddly enough the yellow is really grabbing me at the moment !
21. You walk into a music shop and pretty much straight back out again because they only had 1 bass, and you were still lucky to see that.
22. Well he had bolt-ons didn't he ?!
23. For me: Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Fender Precision (3CS with red tort pickguard) Gibson Thunderbird Musicman Stingray (Cherryburst, white perloid pickguard)) Rickenbacker 4001 (Fireglo) Warwick Thumb NT5 Warwick Infinity NT5
24. I think general consensus would be that wooly means lacking in 'sparkle' or top end definition. A bit like when you turn down the treble control on your bass.
25. I doubt that would be achievable in my garage with my skills ! My painting expertise goes about as far as a few Airfix kits when I was 12 . Although that is quite nice...
